I don't know what wave we are on, but our local numbers are about half what they were in the beginning of January.

That's brilliant news. Numbers here are going down too, the vaccine seems to be making a difference both in infection rates and now deaths.
758 sadly died here in the last 24 hours, almost half what it was last week.

Panorama on the anti-vaxxers was interesting, if nothing else it proves how fucking stupid a large percentage of the population really is.
Mind you basic critical thinking seems an anathema to most people otherwise organised religion around the world would have bit the dust centuries ago.
I need empirical scientific evidence to believe in something - not 'feelings' 'beliefs' or 'faith'.

I'm not anti vax but I am extremely cautious vax.
Imagine the growing number of families across Africa and Asia right now with paralysed children due to the polio vaccine.
Imagine how worried people are because this manmade polio strain paralyses more children than the wild strain ever did.
It's spreading across Africa and now India and Pakistan and Afghanistan with China and Russia and Iran close by keeping an eye on things... things that may well not get reported here because this thing can go global at any moment.
What will we do?
Lockdowns that's the answer!
Imagine looking at your child thinking I wish I'd listened to those stupid people and refused to have my child vaccinated.
How would you go about now convincing the growing number of people with paralysed children to have any more vaccines?
Call them stupid if they refuse?

On a positive note we are finally winning.
All those scientists who developed the vaccine should be knighted.

If you do some research you'll find the type of vaccine doing the damage is the oral polio vaccine. Why? Because in third world countries it's cheaper and more easily administered. In the West, the virus is inactive and injected.
Most of the worlds most hideous diseases have been eradicated via vaccines. It might have cost lives, but in the long term it's saved most of the planet.

Just watching a Sky report on 'vaccine hesitancy' in various minorities.
Why pussyfoot about?
Due to ignorance, religious bullshit and fears of 'racism' they are putting everyone else in danger FFS.
I wish for once people would call a spade a spade and call them out on it.

Had my covid jab today. Some people think because they have had the vaccine
they can go out and mix with others,
One man there today wasn’t very happy that he couldn’t go out and see his family!

You don't think iron lungs were real? I personally knew someone with polio. A friend of my mother. Her mother had refused the vaccine and her girl got it. Paralysed and crippled and could barely walk. She was in constant pain the whole of her life.
Fucking moron

How do you feel? And which one did you get? I'm due soon. Dreading side effects.
The astra Zeneca one, I think I’ve spelt it right! Ok atm just a bit tired. She said you might experience flu like symptoms
or a sore arm but that is quite normal.
The nurse asks a few questions and then she will give the injection.
The people I have spoken with on social media none of them have had any bad side effects, so don’t
worry Digger.

I had the vaccine too, same one as Twizzler.
I woke up in the night with shivers, next morning I was fine, didn't even have a sore arm.

Try watching this all you anti-vaxxers - but you won't will you?
You would rather make sure that tinfoil hat is even tighter on your head and put everyone else in danger.
All the anti vaxxers out there. If laws came in that dictated people needed a vaccination passport to travel, join certain groups, work in certain places etc.....you watch them all line up with their sleeves rolled up so they can book their two weeks in Benidorm or stay at their favourite hotel in Cornwall.

First image I saw but so what?
Polio was an utterly devastating disease and vaccination eradicated it.
Or are you an antivaxxer and believe in any old shit on the internet?
Oh and that bastard Wakefield should be strung up by his balls. No wonder he fucked off to America.
