The strikes are holding this country to ransom now. Today, broadcasters, senior Dr's and train workers are on strike here. I understand why the very low paid need more money, but striking has a knock on effect. The junior Dr's strike...then the senior Dr's and consultants, who are already earning plenty, strike so the pay gap remains the same.
Our bin men are on strike again, sodding bins are overflowing and rats about.
We'll all end up with dysentery.

I've just chucked out two big fat spiders in the last hour, I need to invest in one of those spider catchers they sell on Amazon.

Like tarantulas, Syl.
Those doffers on Amazon allow you to catch them and trap them, then release them outside.

Irritations...
Our new neighbours are turning out to be pains in the arse.
As mentioned, we have lived next door to a building site since April, one which shows no sign of ever ending.
Apart from ruining part of our new drive with their lorries and uprooting their garden disturbing our drive, then filling it with loose rubble, they have dismantled their down spout whist up on their roof, and as it leads down into our passageway, it's like running under a waterfall when we need to use our own passageway.
They have been told twice to please fix it...they haven't.
OH is a lot calmer than me regarding these issues....I am about to blow.

You're both calmer than me, I'd be screaming from the roof tops by now. What nasty selfish neighbours they turned out to be. 😖

Pause for thought...
Who the heck are M&S designing for? I just walked round their women's wear department, I wouldn't be seen dead in anything they are selling right now.

I have had to wait a month to see a nurse to have bloods taken at my GP practice.
One person was waiting in the huge surgery...three receptionists on duty, chatting together. Just one person came out of the surgery as I was waiting to go in.
I saw a couple of nurses and presumably Dr's (didn't recognise any) coming and going, chatting, laughing, no one saw a patient because the surgery was empty, empty because patients have to jump through hoops to get an appointment.
I was seen...as I came out, two others came in, one was a translator, one was a patient. Translator explained the woman had missed her appointment, but she was given another one in two days time....odd, I had to wait a month just to see a nurse, and if anyone phones up the surgery no appointments are ever available.
No wonder one of the long time receptionists left last year, even she couldn't stand working for such a badly run surgery.

That's bad Syl. I had to wait a week, our surgery seems to be bucking its ideas up now. About time!

That bloody annoys me. No wonder they keep piling in. What about our own homeless, or young couples who want housing, or anyone in this country. It's disgusting!
