Vita, batten down the hatches. On the BBC news this morning, it reported winds could reach 120mph in parts of Scotland.
It's windy here, bins blowing up the street, and OH had to go searching for our watering can. I am very glad we had a huge conifer taken down last year, that used to bend right over in far lesser winds.
Take care folks. x
Be safe V x
Syl hope you are safe too xx

Thanks Ladies x
I'm still in one piece after yesterday, gosh it was wild.
I thought the Windows were going to smash, the fences shoogled about something terrible but are thankfully still up right.
Shorty seemed to quite enjoy herself, anytime she came in from outside she ran amok for ages.
Wee drop snow now and very cold!!

Glad your fence is intact Vita, they reckon that was one of the worst winds in years...I can believe it.

It was terrible Syl.
The fences out the back garden are always the main concern because Shorty needs out for the toilet and it has to be secure.
I don't know if you've ever seen a Westie running but they're as fast as greyhounds.
I suppose being ratters they need to be fast to chase prey.
my mum's brother's holiday was cancelled, him and his wife were off to Spain but got an email saying no flights on Friday.
They'll get a refund but it's still a shame, thinking they were off to sunny parts for a fortnight but are instead staying in Scotland.

There was so much disruption and damage, thank goodness it's calm again.
I hate the strong winds, they are frightening.

It's a bit brighter here, but damp and cold, the wind has been bitter these last few days.
It's the last day of January, at least we have got through the most miserable month of the year.

85 on Monday. I may go to the pool, lol..
I converted it to Celsius. We get to wear our entire wardrobe in the coming week..
It's 2c here now, and not rising above 6 or 8 till the end of February.

Enjoy your sunshine, I am not the slightest bit jealous.
We can commiserate on Wednesday..
Very cold here tonight. Yesterday was freezing cold brrr.
It's been incredibly cold in Scotland the last few days.
I keep thinking it's going to snow.
Freezing here too Vita, 4c in the afternoons, but the wind is icy, it feels colder.
