I envy you your sun, but I would hate the huge extremes in temperature you get, I think I prefer our relatively steady temps. Though...it's 0c here right now, in a week it's set to be 14c, positively tropical.

The extremes make it hard. I used to think they made us sick, but icee baths and saunas are even more extreme amd their's some evidence they are good for you.
I'm about to go for a walk with my GF in my shorts..
By this time tomorrow it might still be below freezing.

We're supposed to be getting snow later in Scotland.
I don't mind, just as long as we get no more storms for a while.

19 degrees over here (sorry )
It‘ll drop down to 10 by tonight though - that’s like ‘arctic’ to me!

That's our late spring temps...if we are lucky.

Even after more than 23 years out here, I’m still homesick for London. The memories of my London years are so SO good. I’ve often thought about moving back, although friends tell me I probably wouldn’t recognise the place anymore.
But with the couple of health issues I’ve had in recent years, there’s one thing I know for sure - the cold, damp British climate could quite easily end me.
(hope you feel better soon, Syl)

Probably best for me to swerve past this thread, cos I don’t wanna demoralise you

Thanks.
The main health thing I suffer from is osteoarthritis...had two joints replaced, waiting for a third, then fourth.
Apart from that, I am usually very well...fingers crossed.
When we can, we get about 3 holidays away annually, always somewhere nice and warm, Spain, Canaries, etc...the sun just doesn't help me or hinder me, if it did, I might seriously consider getting a small place to hide out in the winters.

BTW, Magica is a Londoner, she will be able to tell you about the changes, good or bad, since you last lived here.

Yes, I’ve noticed that you and your chap head for a sunnier place whenever you can.
All that extra Vitamin D is never a bad thing And bright sunshine always makes even brass monkeys temps feel better.

I‘ve seen she’s not a big fan of Mayor Khan! I don’t blame her, tbh.
Very cold here too. Sick of grey skies, not a peep of the sun in a long time!
Yes cold too. Sun was warm, in the shade icy.
🥶🥶🥶
Whatever weather you like, we got it in the next few days..
