I didn't say it was you. Although you came very close.
It was the one who was going on about men judging female soccer players..
It wasn't Fluffy either.
My bad.
I retract my accusation against Fluffy.
It was a female though. I don't retract my comment about women being their own worst enemies..
MD,, you won't find me insulting a ladies appearance online. I've learnt from all the past fighting not to indulge in that, I actually thought the athlete's spray tan looked fine and didn't think she was a man either.
When I said women were more mature and dignified in their behaviours and attitudes I meant towards men.
For example women don't think any less of a man if they don't find him sexually attractive, they will still be friendly and chat with him. Some men are rude to women just because they personally don't find them attractive (no matter what these men look like themselves!) . But this is not all men, and I'm not talking about Red either.
Some of the critiques I have seen men make on Manosphere related social media about a celebrities looks or even random women are truly shocking in their intensity. It is disturbing that young boys are reading and being influenced by it.

@Fluff….really? You didn’t notice any uneven patches/streaks around the tops of her thighs, the underside of her boobs, her lower neck area and especially her fingers?
My eyesight must be worse than I thought, I guess 🤷🏻♀️ But who knew commenting on a spray tan would cause such anguish! 😂
That video is a great example of what is both good and bad about the modern fitness industry / influencer culture.
She's absolutely right that you cannot spot reduce fat. You lose fat in a genetically predetermined pattern. You may wish it came off your midsection first but it might be the last place it comes off from.
She's right that doing a million crunches a day won't get you visible abs because if your body fat percentage is too high you just won't see them.
Her solution is also a good one. A moderate calorie deficit over time, good level of protein (most people could do with getting more) and strength training. However, there is only one part of that solution which is essential - the calorie deficit.
It could be aggressive, you may get less protein and do another form of training other than weights and still reach visible abs. Might not be as optimal for the goal though but ultimately a suboptimal plan done consistently is better than an optimal plan done rarely.
Not saying I am against women hitting the weights - quite the opposite in fact. However, I think some women may find this kind of messaging a turn off and switch off from it.
I think it's probably aimed at women who are already a little predisposed to this stuff.
If my gym going millennial daughters saw this, they'd agree and chuckle, like their old man.
Perhaps someone in very poor shape who is intimidated by the gym would be turned off by this?🤷
A lot of workouts sort of mimic boot camp. In fact many are called boot camp and they have teachers that basically tell their patrons not to be whiney little bitches. That obviously isn't for everyone..

No doubt women aren't as looks centric when choosing mates. They probably have us beat in that department
I don't think men are more rude to women over looks though. Being polite is different than being attracted to someone.

I didn't but it doesn't matter! I will up the brightness factor on my tablet lol.
I think it was just the INTENSITY of the critique that surprised me a little but it didn't cause anguish, honestly.

Edit Tan Analysis, I can see the fingers but she is meant to look as if she has been in the water and is glistening. You should edit the covers of these mags Vam, you've missed your calling!

I don't think men are more rude to women over looks though. Being polite is different than being attracted to someone.
I think when men have a wife or long term partner they are more gentlemanly in general. It's more single men who are bitter about divorce that act this way. There was a YouTube channels dedicated to putting up pics of a woman who "friend zoned "a subscriber and all the blokes take turns to critique her looks, personality, etc. Some of the women were conventionally pretty and the men pretend they're not or it automatically makes them s*uts.
I'm glad I'm not in my early twenties and embarking on.life now. Syl was right, old fashioned attitudes about women aren't great but the Manosphere is a thousand times worse.
But as Avon (the wise )said in the other thread you lose perspective on the net, these "men" are just the minority. Incels have killed though, several times, children aswell as women, so apart from.making one drama series about it I think fathers need to sit down with their son's and discuss it so their son's are able to hear a different perspective instead of a poisonous echo chamber.

I doubt women have ever sunk to this level. Makes commenting on a bad spray tan or haircut pretty insignificant.
"Here are the toxic dating trends that make swiping right a seriously risky pastime
No one wants to get pigged. The name is bad enough, but the practice itself is just disturbing.
Pigging is a ‘game’ that some guys apparently play where they try to hook up with the least attractive girl they can dupe on a night out.
Yeah, we don’t think it's funny either. But it’s been a fringe dating trend for a number of years, with media reports, external on the phenomenon dating back to 2013."

TBF, I think her physique and looks were attacked because I posted her picture on a thread where there's a concerted effort to challenge every position I post, even when supported by experts in the field.
If someone else had posted her pic, I don't think the judgement would have been as harsh..

Running has its place, especially if it's intense at times, because you should be winded and uncomfortable a few times a week. But there are other things as important..

And yes, superficially speaking, that shoddy spray tan doesn’t help whatever image it is she’s trying to project.
Check it out … on seeing her image for the first time, I briefly agreed with others that she has quite manly features, and then this is what I posted ☝🏻
At the time I posted that, I hadn’t realised she’s an Olympic rugby player.
I then read back a bit on the previous page, and watched the clip MD had posted of her interview.

I doubt anyone else would have sought out a really masculine looking woman, then compared her favourably to 'anyone reading this'.
The following comments were mostly valid, I did wonder if she had taken steroids, because usually, when a young woman with a rounded face and boobs, ends up with a chiselled jaw and a chest, it's not usually through weight loss and training alone.
