Well this thread is entertaining and frightening in equal measure.
I agree with MD though when it comes to hunters getting off on killing animals, which would be plain weird. An arousal state (increased heart rate, rush of dopamine, surge of adrenaline etc) isn't one and the same as a sexual arousal state. I might reach an arousal state when I floor the accelerator of a sports car but it doesn't mean I want to shag my Lambo (if I had a Lambo that is. Which I don't.)
Obviously what happens is given you are in an arousal state following a hunt when you do see something which you find sexually attractive (a buxom lady in jodphurs perhaps) it then means you are primed to get jiggy with it.
Exactly.
Or when your team scores a goal and grown men (and women) hug and high five.
I said before, if it wasn't exciting and brought satisfaction, people wouldn't do it..
And certain environments that have a mixture of alcohol, athletics and pretty people are prone to an uptick in sexual activity.
I'm assuming these hunts happen on the weekends. What a crazy idea that people cutting loose on the weekends have more sex than on Tuesday nights..🙄
A lot of folks here are very confused about the difference in causation and correlation..
Incidentally this is why "nice guys finish last."
General arousal leaves a person more open to sexual arousal due to shared activation pathways of the nervous system. Exciting, novel, thrilling dangerous activities lead to general arousal and spikes of dopamine, which can be very addictive . So, taking a girl out on a motorcycle ride though winding mountain roads, before going for a swim by a lake and a drink as the sun sets is more likely to lead to sex than going to an overly expensive, overly lit restaurant as you stare awkwardly at each other and you end up paying the bill in deflated disappointment.
If you become the source of dopamine for someone else then it's like you have become their drug dealer. And a drug dealer can make their customers go to extraordinary lengths and debase themselves as they know their customers are wide open to exploitation.

It sounds more like a giant equestrian party where there are some attractive people of both genders riding, drinking and having a good time. These people are wealthy and resented by the ones who can't attend..
It's not nearly as much about the fox, but taking away something wealthy people enjoy.
While most big game hunting here is a solo event (the actual hunting part), we obviously get together at camp when we aren't hunting. Men (or women for that matter) will do what they do when they are away from their spouse for whatever reason, whether anything was killed that day or not.
We even have a term for all the women that are out on the first weekend of deer season, deer hunting widows. And some of them may cheat on their partner, but that's just down to their morals, not any animal being killed.
I don't for a second think this is any different than Brits behavior on holiday in Spain. Some will behave well and others will get drunk, fuck a fat chick and wake up feeling like shit. It's not holidays or Spain that is the problem..
I'm not getting involved to the degree others have but honestly MD, the BIB is NOT true. Resentment of wealth tends to occur instead of class in Britain as many people are proud to be working class.
But people who loathe the practice of fox hunting don't care how rich the people are, it's just considered an abhorrent practice because an animal is torn apart and killed for fun. It's also sort of old fashioned, and considered uncool. People don't want to "attend ', they want it to be made illegal

So regarding the issue of you only being able to see the start and end of the thread.
It's not very clear below, but at the bottom of each thread you click on, see where it says <<FIRST < Page 67 67 is the last page, to get to page 66, just press on the single < if you press on the double << ...that will take you back to the first page of the thread.
Thank you Syl, I appreciate your help x. I can read what on earth was going on.now! I'm nosy, I admit it

I thought something had occurred in that regard but not as early as 2004! Still it's good to know,!

And meat chickens are specifically bred to go from hatching to your plate in about 3 months.
Hunting, conservation, agriculture, food supplies and life itself is all about a cycle.
We have become so insulated and far removed from the process that people seem to think meat isn't a dead animal.
We are at a point where they typical African in Zimbabwe has a better informed and more honest outlook on the cycle of life. And by doing so are far more beneficial to animals than the well intentioned masses living in urban areas of the West..
Sorry MD,didn't see your post. I think people have become more empathetic and see ani!also more as something to be consumed.
I would never force my opinions on others or critique you for thinking differently but I think it's good that thinking has progressed that way in the UK. Surely meat isn't a dead animal though, it has to be slain first..
I think America has a different culture and outlook. Some (usually white )people enjoy killing animals. I don't get it, it's not my bag. Do I think it's cruel? Yes. Do I think posing with the trophy kills are obscene? Sometimes.
But many things in America are viewed so differently from here. For example we would never allow guns to.be bought here. All the school shootings in America are only made possible due to effortless access to guns and a culture that accepts and promotes owning a deadly weapon. It makes no sense to me but if I had been raised in the US around guns and taught it was ok to use them to kill animals and people I'm sure I would think very differently. People are products of their environment.

Thanks Vam, no prosecco this time, the horses came into view instead.
There are usually between 8 to 10 horses in the field, all males, they don't do much, just eat, sleep and poo....but recently 2 new additions have joined, feisty little ones, and they have the whole pack of them galloping around the field, great to see.
Not so great are the idiots who walk across the field and let their dogs yap around the horses feet. Unlike you, they carry on regardless, eventually, when they can be arsed, whistling for the dogs to join them.
Good fun though when the horses suddenly decide to have a gallop in the same direcion of the dog walkers, it's quite satisfying to see them run like the clappers for the gate.
