We haven't had that advice yet. The infection rate for the Indian strain is doubling weekly in some parts of the country here now, so especially where that's happening, I think masks and social distancing will be carrying on for the seeable.
He was mid 60's. He apparently had his first jab a few days before he became ill. Two days after his jab he visited a friend who had Covid, probably thought he was protected, obviously he wasn't. He also refused to wear a mask when mixing.
He was ill for quite a while with Covid before he needed to go into hospital, where he eventually ended up in ICU, he died after being on oxygen for 2 weeks.
I don't know why people think the vaccinations will stop you from getting it? It doesn't. It just makes it potentially less lethal but only after the second jab. I had mine yesterday. I feel like a mule has kicked my arm.
It shouldn't last long.
I have had the 2nd with no ill effects, got bad shakes with the first.
I grew a third ear on my forehead. Besides that no ill effects.
Is that why you wear that hat?

There could be no other reason that could justify such a hideous monstrosity!

Well when you eventually learn how to upload a pic....we can judge your dress sense.

Well, that and to keep the intense sun off my cleanly shorn head. Chickens are excellent at repelling ultra violet rays.

You should live in Manchester, you would never need to wear that hat ever again.

Yeah, then I would need seal skin beanie to keep my head dry and warm.
Being bald ain't easy in bad weather.

Have you all had your vaccines now? They are doing the low 30s now so I guess you all have.
What side effects did you have?
I thought I was dying both times. I hope the boosters don't do that

I had my 2nd jab a couple of weeks ago, the AZ one.
Shivering and dithering after the first one (just in the night) nothing after the 2nd one...not even a sore arm.
Some people did get flu like side effects....my grandson felt ill for a few days too.

Sure, in nice weather.
One thing folks with hair don't realize is how much sweat your hair catches. I have to wear something on my head if I do anything that makes me sweat because the sweat runs right off into your eyes.

We have areas in the North where the Indian virus is causing real concern. Because it's being spread mostly by the younger people there have been calls for all people over 16 to be vaccinated as soon as possible in those areas, the government have refused, they are sticking to their original plan of vaccinating people according to age.
Sounds wrong to me.

I have not had my second jab yet but the first led to a very slight soreness of the arm for a day or two and that was it.

We are throwing vaccines away daily, looking for arms.
It's a waste. Time to start shipping that stuff overseas.
My Mexican buddy has another friend flying in the weekend to get their shot.
