Windy and sunny here, no rain. Much cooler, I love it 😄

Today was warm...22c, not much sun, but warm enough to eat out.

Glorious day...sunshine, some wind, but the wind is hot, 26c.
One of those days where you expect to find sand blown over from the Sahara all over the car.

The intense heat (for here) has gone, but it's still warm, unfortunately the sun has gone too.
Showers are forecast for this afternoon.

We see it a lot here, as soon as the sun gets hot, people walking around with bright red bodies....not a good look.

Weather folks are saying we may escape triple digit temps for the entire month of August.
96F is still hot, but not the dangerous miserable hot of 106F..

We have touched 90f a few times this summer...one of our hottest on record.
I can imagine that getting into the 100's would be pretty unbearable.Â

I think as soon as the outside temps exceed our internal temperature, our body starts to really struggle.Â
Â
In less humid areas, night time temps drop pretty significantly. So you learn the art of the siesta. Â
Â
Here, if it's 106F during the day, it can still be over 90 at 10pm and over 80 at sunrise. There's no night time respite Â

We don't get those night-time temps even in a heatwave.
It's been staying around 18c to 20c quite a few nights this summer, and loads of people are moaning they can't sleep.

That should be plenty cool enough to sleep..
Â
I wonder if they have more windows open and there are more outside noises waking them?Â

Thing is, because most homes here don't have air conditioning, if it's been high 20's to 30's in the day time, heat rises, and bedrooms get really hot even when the nightime temp drops.
I don't sleep much anyway, so the high or low temp makes no difference to me.
