A friend of mine died. She spent her last hours - all five of them - calling out for nurses who never came, with chest pains, until a passing doctor asked her if she was OK. She said no. She was scared. She had texted her daughter for help. Nobody came. Nobody cared. The doctor went to the nurses station to bollock the nurses and then my friend went into cardiac arrest. Her daughter arrived just as they were giving her the defibrillation paddles. She ended up in a coma and then died.
The NHS is a fucking disgrace. And those nurses should be struck off.
That's heartbreaking.
Her final hours should have been made as peaceful as possible.
I'm sorry you have lost your friend in such sad circumstances.

Manchester Royal Infirmary. It's a filthy place with the most disgusting toilets you'll ever see in a hospital. Needless to say, the daughter is now suing the hospital. There's going to be full enquiry. How can someone be left in pain for five fucking hours!!! She had a bad fall and broke her thigh bone in two. That's why she was there. Poor woman.

That's a disgrace! More and more hospitals are treating patients with no care at all. Many nurses are black bank nurses, they don't give a damn.
I'm so sad for your friend, she.must have been so scared.

From what I have seen, especially in the MRI, where I have had a couple of ops, and spent weeks in there with my mum when she was dying, one of the main problems is agency staff.
They often have no idea of what the patient's needs are, and if they do, some just don't care, they are obviously in the wrong profession.
There are some absolutely brilliant nurses there, so like any hospital, some patients have good service, some have horrendous ones.
Gone are the days of Matron and sisters....they actually KNEW the patients, kept the nurses on their toes, got rid of the useless ones, and cut out a lot of the red tape that plagues the NHS nowadays.

The J. Edgar has gone on the blink, one of those Shark anti-hair wrap one's.
It cost nearly three hundred pounds and I thought it would be perfect because I have long hair but it's only last about eighteen months.
I want a little Henry.
I would never buy one of those Shark monstrosities again.
Very awkward to use and weigh about five stone!!.
😡

Did you register the product? If so you may get either a refund or a new one. I use Sharks because they are great for pet hair.

I have a Dyson animal...it's really light and easy to manoeuvre.
Vita, I bought a Henry years ago, it ended up in the garage. It was like dragging a big dog around after me. Personally, I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

I've just woke up at 11:40 pm.
I thought it said 8:00 am on the clock as I stumbled to the kitchen for a glass of water forgetting I went to bed about 8:00 pm because I couldn't keep my eyes open.
Just an hour I told myself...
I'll be up for hours now!

I usually go to bed around 2am, have always been a night owl.
If I went at 8 or 9pm, I just wouldn't, sleep...so even if I am shattered, I stay up.
The best thing about retirement, you get up when you choose, for me, around 10am.

A major irritation stems from when I repotted a huge plant I have upstairs. I noticed tiny gnats flying around in the windows soon after.
We put up old fashioned fly papers at the side of the windows, which are an eyesore, but they caught loads of the little buggers....which made me realise how quickly they were breeding.
I don't want to throw my plant away, I have had it about 30 years, and it's very healthy.
It's impossible to take outside because over the years it has grown through an upstairs railing, and sort of drapes down the stairs....unravelled, it has to be about 10ft high.
We can't be the first people to have this problem....incidentally, I have never had this problem before. I swear when they recently stopped putting peat in bags of soil, they replaced it with infected rubbish.

Oh so annoying. Try spraying it with soapy water, this works to rid little flies in some plants.
That's heartbreaking.
