The trees are starting to either drop or turn, some beautiful shades of red, orange and green...looks pretty....but chilly. It's only 9c here at the moment.

Yep...I still have my fingers crossed for an Indian summer.
In this area there have already been several flood warnings after yesterdays torrential rain, thankfully, the sun is now back out.

Yes. We think of winter as being Nov, Dec, Jan. But winter starts officially on 21st December ending around the end of March.

Sunny all week here too, but noticeably colder. Last night I swear I could smell frost in the air.

Little white crystals of coldness that you can smell in the air (or that could just be me) It looks beautiful shimmering in the morning sunlight, but it can kill a lovely thriving plant overnight.
Actually, there was no frost last night...I dont think the temp has gotten that low yet.

Horrible up here in Manc at the moment
Finally, some fall weather.

It's been 90 degrees every day for a month..
Heating went on for an hour or two earlier, felt quite nippy. First time it’s been on for many months.
If I could hibernate, I would.
Don't worry Syl, you can hibernate with my tortoise until Spring.
I really wish I was a tortoise.
