Working in night clubs as I did for years, I have never seen a drag act that doesn't include quite a lot of sexual content, certainly not a place for kids.

In Manchester, there was a very famous club called FOO FOOS PALACE. It was owned by (and starred nightly) one of the first drag queens around here, it was a great night out....for the broad minded.
Foo Foo Lammar was a real character, and Frank, the man who played him, was just a lovely man, who did so much for charities. Sadly, he has gone now.

I guess I could see some appeal for folks more in to fashion and flair. Sort of like straight folks that were into David Bowie's or Elton John's style and showmanship as well as their music.
But the typical child isn't that into that stuff, especially boys.
That being said, I know there are kids and boys who are into that, to some degree.
Just like some kids like to get dressed up and go to the ballet. But the vast majority of kids would find that torturous.
My parents drug me to musicals in a sport coat and a tie. It was border line child abuse to me and my 10 year old brain. Still don't like them.
Maybe they should have taken me to drag shows instead? 🤷♂️
