He's aged well, I'll give him that. More like early forties than 53.
He looks pretty rough in today's court sketch though...

Anyone have a clue as to what this means?…

Could mean he was driving like a lunatic long before he ploughed all those people down?
Given his address is now public property, I hope his wife and children are being cared for...just in case any online vigilante's feel like getting involved.

No family in either court appearances today either whether that was by choice or on advice.

If, as has been said in court, he " used his car like a weapon", and if he was driving dangerously leading up to the event, he should be charged with attempted murder .
It seems to override the theory that he acted in panic.

Witnesses said he reversed then drove at them faster than before. Not panicking imo.

“An 84-year-old retired nurse removed a cyst from her own eye after waiting years for treatment, a report has found.
The woman, who is still waiting for an eye operation, initially waited three years to be seen after being placed on the ophthalmology waiting list in 2019.
She had some procedures but said they "did not help", so was eventually driven to carry out the dangerous procedure herself, according to the report.
"She is waiting for an eye operation, which was requested in October 2023, and her eyesight is deteriorating rapidly," it said.
Wouldn’t surprise me to hear she had her Winter Fuel Payment denied also.
Someone remind me how many billions are being spent on immigrants…

New figures out today highlight just how much immigrants are costing this country. This lady has probably worked for 50plus years, and cant get a procedure like this carried out on the NHS, which she has paid into all her working life.
The government is now paying over £1 billion a month on benefits claims to households with at least one foreign national, new figures show.
Households with at least one claimant who is a foreigner received £941 million in March his year, up from £461 million year-on-year, The Telegraph reports.
This increase represents almost a sixth of the month's Universal Credit payments and cancels out the £1.4 billion the Government saved by cutting winter fuel payments.
Experts have suggested that the increase reflects a surge in the number of asylum seekers being granted refugee status in Britain.
Foreigners are eligible for UC and other benefits on the same terms as British citizens after being granted indefinite leave to remain or refugee status.

There are no words left to describe how this all makes me feel. The elderly and the sick are systematically being crucified in this country and no one gives a shiny shite.

It is the fault of the successive governments for not processing the immigrants and letting them stay in hotels without working or contributing in any way. It's not the immigrants fault, the majority that risk their lives to come here are genuinely in need. And those that aren't know they will be offered a future in comfort. The government's seem to have no clue what to do about the situation and it's drain on the economy.

If safety is their main reason why not stay in the first safe country they arrive at?

"Starmer ‘loses control’ as close to 1,200 migrants cross Channel in single day"
It's insane that this isn't being seen as some kind of national emergency that requires immediate attention.
The cost and amount of resources used up continues to be mind-boggling, yet nothing is done to stop it.
God knows what we are paying the French for.
I can't read your link Red, but on the news it said French border control stood idly by whilst the migrants crammed into boats to set off for the UK.

It's a new record of 1,194 in a single day. They came in on 18 boats.
The previous record for a single day was 825 - this new figure has smashed it.
They will currently be wearing their new clothes and using their new phones (for some) and having a nice lunch - that we have all paid for.
Meanwhile, wiinter fuel and PIP.............

The more politicians talk, (of either party) the less they have done.
I know some really laid back people who are now seething with resentment at the way people are being treated here. Everybody knows someone who has been affected by Labours WFP cuts and high cost of living.
Everyone knows someone who seems to be stuck at the back of an NHS queue whilst the newly arrived get not only attention, but translators to explain to medics exactly what they want....and they get it.

"Since 2018, bilateral agreements have increasingly focused on the issue of small boat crossings. In 2022/2023 both countries have reinforced their co-operation. In March 2023 the Joint Leaders Declaration issued after the Franco-British leaders summit – the first in five years – included further financial commitments from the UK for France: around £476 million between 2023/24 and 2025/26."
"Keir Starmer torn to shreds by ex-Army chief over defence spending 'U-turn'"
The fool is practically presenting himself as a wartime PM, but is coming across more Captain Mainwaring than Winston Churchill.
He is saying that Britain must be 'battle ready' and that 'every citizen has a role to play'. It's just more empty words like 'smash the gangs' or '1.5 million new homes will be built'
The target is that 3% of GDP wil be spent on defence by 2034, but he cannot say how the Treasury will be able to fund it. It's an ambition rather than a commitment, ie not gonna happen.
The former head of the British army, Lord Dannatt, says "It's a little bit like saying in 1938 to Adolf Hitler ‘please don't attack us until 1946 because we are not going to be ready."

Kill off pensioners and the sick/disabled, by either starving or freezing them to death (preferably both)…£££ problem sorted.
He’ll have all those fit and UK patriotic immigrants voluntarily fighting for King and Country so recruitment won’t be a problem either.
