Kinda fun laying on sun loungers dotted around a beach Christmas tree, sipping something yummy, and watching the best of muscular Barbados youth in swim trunks and Santa hats, zooming around the water on jet skis 😂

Definately a perk, I won't argue with that.
I found it hard because for most of us Christmas is best spent with family and friends, and me and OH treated ourselves to a few weeks in the sun when they were all settled. I hadn't counted on how much I would miss them.

It's 8c here, very cold wind which as you say, makes it feel a lot colder. OH is trying to get me out for a walk, but I am warm, a bit hungover, and I feel he is wasting his breath.

We’ve had flash flooding in Andalusia before, Syl. But it happens very, very rarely. That said, the winters do seem to be getting colder over the years. Mostly though, we do still have long and mild and sunny winters, so I can’t moan too much.
