So what? I think that's pretty standard for a lot of interviews. It was he who answered...he wasn't prompted.
It's not standard and old people with the beginning of dementia do much better in the morning..
Trump is an asshole, and often misinformed but he's sharp and will take answers in any setting. There is no comparison between him and Biden in that department.
That's your opinion.
Biden is slow in speech and movement, but dementia affects people differently, and Trump, to me, shows all the signs of someone suffering from a mental condition, whether it's age related...who knows?
Trump is a narcissist.
Always has been..
And yes, that's just am opinion..
What isn't am opinion is that Biden was protected by the admission of his staff and the media..
The same can't be said of Trump. He could use someone telling him to shut up and lay low..

😳 Sharp? Seriously, MD, you think he’s sharp? He has a lizard-brain cunning, I’ll give him that. But he truly is staggeringly stupid.
As a couple of people on X said recently:
’It’s very important to remember that Trump knows absolutely nothing about literally everything. It’s an amazing feat to live nearly 80 years and be impervious to even a scintilla of human knowledge.’
and…. ‘I don't think it's fully appreciated just how much Trumpism is a celebration of ignorance. Trump not only never learns but proactively avoids it. It's a braindead movement from the top down.’
Sharp as in quick witted not informed.

Intelligence isn't the same as informed.
There are tribesmen in Borneo that have never heard of Shakespeare or the internet. That makes them uninformed. Not unintelligent..
Trump has managed to become president twice, and can make millions react either for him or against him. That requires some Intelligence. It requires thinking on his feet. It doesn't require knowledge of world affairs or science. I'd say it requires charisma, but that's not a word I think of to explain Trump's success either..

The Economist writes...
But a distinctive feature of his political career has been a growing polarisation by educational attainment: the more schooling a person has, the less likely they are to approve of Mr Trump.
No surprise there.

It's not surprising. The more educated would also prefer Starmer over Farage and think gender is social construct and JK Rowling is an evil transphobe
It's one of the problems with the highly educated. They can be dumb as a brick.

I am not sure the three examples you give are correct.

I can assure you the more "populist" opinion appeals more to the moderately educated man than the highly educated intellectual..
It's also why so many left wing parties have lost their traditional constituents. The divide is becoming wider in your country and mine. Reform may do to your "conservatives" what Trump did to ours.
Lying is his superpower. As is doubling/tripling/quadrupling down on those lies in an endless spin cycle, until his brainwashed cult actually believe a man who squats on a gold toilet each day gives a flying fuck about them.

I don't blame a lot of people for voting for MAGA / Trump. They were getting hammered by cost of living and when that happens it is hard not to feel resentful if you see immigrants seeming to live a better life than you do without the same amount of effort. If hard work isn't seen to be rewarded it can become demoralising.
Trump was the wrong answer to the right question and things needed to change. The sad thing is I think most people can see it will get harder for ordinary families as time goes on, not easier. Some times you just have to live through these things and accept the consequences whatever they may be.
I do hope Trump is successful economically and ordinary familiess eventually recover their standard of living by the end of his Presidency. If he fails then I can only see America getting more fractured and embracing more extreme candidates who will grow in popularity. I don't think Ye's new song will be the last one saying Hitler might not have been that bad,...

I agree. I always suspected Biden’s lackadaisical approach to immigration would ultimately be his undoing. But I still believe, overall, Biden got a media-driven bad rap.
However, trump is the wrong answer to most questions.
Avon, I can’t recall when I’ve ever felt such an instinctive, visceral feeling of revulsion every time I see that bloated orange face or hear his voice. His sociopathic narcissism, his criminality, his brazen corruption, his endless torrent of lies, and the ongoing con on the American people he has perpetuated throughout the last decade, and to this day.
Dawg and others can roll their eyes at me all they want. I don’t GAF. Because, in my eyes, trump truly is evil personified.
That said, for the good of all Americans, I also have to hope his second term will be successful.

He truly does think he is the messiah.

Biden's bad rap was Biden driven.
And his low approval was down to far more than immigration. The economy was the number one issue. Couple that with a party that couldn't bring itself to say the penis people can't call themselves women and a myriad of other weird social positions and the entire party is in trouble except in highly populated bastions on the coasts.
There's a good chance a less crazy Republican would have won by a bigger margin and their coattails would have drug even more into congress..

The U.S press secretary Karoline Leavitt has confirmed that as part of our trade deal the 10% baseline tariff will remain. Trump commented that we will be receiving their meat as part of the trade deal which he admitted had extra "additives". He also said in amused tones they may start "doing things our way " i.e not bathing our meat in chlorine. The one thing I feared was their dangerous meats in our country that go against our FDA standards. I do feel Starmer could have got rid of the tariff as part of an official deal, but patently non. I hope it is a mutually benefical deal. Or that it benefits us at all..!

1. Concerns about US Production Practices:
Antibiotic Use:
The US uses significantly more antibiotics in agriculture, including meat production, than other countries. This raises concerns about antibiotic resistance in humans.
Growth Hormones:
Cattle are often given growth hormones, some of which are banned in the EU.
Clorine Washing:
Raw chicken is sometimes washed with chlorine, a practice banned in Britain and the EU.
GMOs:
The use of genetically modified (GMO) crops in animal feed is common in the US, which raises concerns for some consumers.
Regulation:
Some argue that the US regulatory system isn't as stringent as in Europe, potentially allowing the use of chemicals and practices that are banned elsewhere.
