The elephant in the room is a violent knife/gang/drug culture amongst young black males especially in London, anyone with any common sense can see that in such areas there are bound to be more stop and search procedures carried out.
That does not make the police 'racist' - they are simply trying to keep the public (of all colours and creeds) safe from harm.
The recent scenes in Brixton (where such 'parties' are used to distribute narcotics) are a graphic demonstration that BLM from the US is being hijacked over here by many to fuel their hatred of the 'Feds'.
Racism is a two-way street and always has been - a thug is a thug.

I certainly do think some are 'taking the knee' for the camera, that's my opinion, I dont doubt some are sincere, neither do I doubt that some are simply copying....they probably dont even understand the origin of why or where this started..

We can look back and be outraged, but it was the times, the era and the mind set. Victorian attitudes and outlooks were still very much the norm during WW2. I remember that dreadful Bosnian war in the 1990s where neighbour turned on neighbour, nearly 400,000 people died, and there was mass rape, genocide, ethnic cleansing. They reckon up to 50,000 muslim women were raped by Serbs. Serbians were responsible for the majority of the massacres and tortures. Humans are tribal and war like. Nothing will ever change that.
If we, as a species, were capable of loving each other unconditionally, and putting aside differences, etc, we'd have done it by now. As the old Arabic proverb goes....the dogs bark and the caravan passes by.

I doubt they can alter dash cam or body cam footage.
Many police have lost their jobs because they've stepped out of line. Many are put on suspension of suspected misconduct for years before being either absolved and cleared or sentenced and losing their jobs. Now, every complaint they receive has to be investigated.

Humans have always turned against each other for the most part. There wouldn't of been any slavery at all if people hadn't agreed that a skin colour was superior just because it was paler, that people who loved the same gender should be killed. An individual when talked to reasonably and with respect can change their mind. Men even tried to deny women had the intelligence to vote and gave them a little "home correction" ergo beat them up , if their tea wasn't on the table by 5.
A group of people can become a mob and never does, in fact their need to hurt and wound, exclude and humiliate increases.
Humans are tribal and war like innately, but I feel we are too advanced as a species and too educated to get away with that as an excuse now. I apologise if people mistakenly thought I was only critiquing the British, I know how much more racist the Americans are but in this day and age to kill a man on his knees publicly, that murder really got to me. That man will never open his eyes again because another man decided he should die due to his skin colour, and that mentality is so alien to me possibly I became too narrow-minded during the thread.
Individuals can love unconditionally and forgive others. I think the BLM is a worthwhile movement in light of recent events and couldn't understand why some couldn't say one good word about it , choosing instead to see it as attention seeking. Black people are dead. Attention seeking is the least important thing about it.

Well Syl I checked two and they were deceased. I no longer wish to argue.
And it's a Twitter post being posted over and over again by people in the UK I know some are definitely murders, the others are examples of things white people in America can do but black people cannot due to their skin colour. I apologised earlier in the thread when you said this.
It is still a glaring example of racism, but not all were murders.
People who were not killed were still arrested or blackmailed due to skin colour alone. A black lady was arrested for reading a book. Do you fear that will happen to you?
It was only a quarter of the list. I may post the ones that are only murders if you feel it necessary, I know it is only my error not that the cases do not exist. If you want me to post only the racist deaths please respond and I shall, I will just check every case so it may be a while. I have always maintained they are deaths caused by American police brutality though.

The murder of George Floyd is on the list, that alone does not make it pointless. If racism was not still a huge problem BLM would surely not be supported so widely.

That man will never open his eyes again because another man decided he should die due to his skin colour, and that mentality is so alien to me possibly I became too narrow-minded during the thread.
Individuals can love unconditionally and forgive others. I think the BLM is a worthwhile movement in light of recent events and couldn't understand why some couldn't say one good word about it , choosing instead to see it as attention seeking. Black people are dead. Attention seeking is the least important thing about it.

I found an article in the highly critically acclaimed er Kent News (forgive me) which seems to address what people oppose about the BLM movement which has been about for 4 years, not created after the outrage of what happened in America if that's what some think.
I didn't realise anyone opposed it and that's due to simple ignorance and thinking nobody would resent a movement wanting to abolish racism and promote equality. Now I realise they thought that racism against any skin colour should be considered equal and one cannot argue with that logic either. Obviously there will just be a few bigoted twats opposed because they are racist.

Obviously the Kent News is not the pinnacle of fine journalism but it outlines what folk may be dubious about concerning BLM and (hopefully ) will help them understand why people are so invested in tackling racism against black people now and not before.

The elephant in the room is a violent knife/gang/drug culture amongst young black males especially in London, anyone with any common sense can see that in such areas there are bound to be more stop and search procedures carried out.
That does not make the police 'racist' - they are simply trying to keep the public (of all colours and creeds) safe from harm.
The recent scenes in Brixton (where such 'parties' are used to distribute narcotics) are a graphic demonstration that BLM from the US is being hijacked over here by many to fuel their hatred of the 'Feds'.

I'm saying a few days and sooner or later because clearly its usually random whether a Cop happens to be around in the area to spot you or not. Some other people, of any colour, will have done what the Police described and haven't been pulled over yet!

I agree with you, it is behaviour not colour that matters. But it was not me that wanted a contest.
I mentioned the brutal murders commited by racist police and these tragedies were met with "but look at what happens to white people" all through the thread. I never once disputed that racism occurs to white people but frankly no, I don't think there is the same amount of white people murdered by black racists and I certainly think black people have historically suffered more barbaric injustices.

Well Syl I checked two and they were deceased. I no longer wish to argue.
And it's a Twitter post being posted over and over again by people in the UK I know some are definitely murders, the others are examples of things white people in America can do but black people cannot due to their skin colour. I apologised earlier in the thread when you said this.
It is still a glaring example of racism, but not all were murders.
People who were not killed were still arrested or blackmailed due to skin colour alone. A black lady was arrested for reading a book. Do you fear that will happen to you?
It was only a quarter of the list. I may post the ones that are only murders if you feel it necessary, I know it is only my error not that the cases do not exist. If you want me to post only the racist deaths please respond and I shall, I will just check every case so it may be a while. I have always maintained they are deaths caused by American police brutality though.
