It's all politics Syl. They all vote for the countries around them!

A bit self indulgent....they are actually quite depressing lyrics.
The tune is catchy though, I can't stop humming it.

Great soundtrack, hard to believe that film is nearly 40 years old.

A year ago this guy was in the Navy uploading songs to YouTube from his phone..
He has exploded on the scene and is about to start his European tour after getting an early release from the Navy..

Tyler is one of our greatest song writers. Some folks like his voice, others not so much.
He's not mainstream country and the release of this video will keep him from becoming so, any time soon. But he has a huge following including me.
You'll have to watch the video to figure what the uproar is in some of the "good old boy" community..

It's very Brokeback mountain meets Love story.
I like it though. x

Yes, it's also sad. Northern England and Appalachia are both familiar with Black Lung.

Yes, Salford, where I grew up, was a mining town, also Durham, where my dad was born, all his male family members were miners.
Salford still has a high rate of lung disease....nothing like it was back in the last century, thank God.
That song and the accompanying video, tell a story. To be honest, most of the songs you put up, (and I do watch the videos) are not to my taste really, but I liked that one.

My musical taste lean towards singer songwriters. Their talent is in telling stories, as opposed to being the most powerful vocalists.
I appreciate a great set of pipes on a singer, but usually not as much as the message in the lyrics.

I think Elton John discovered him...I like his style, got some humour as well as a good songwriter.
Do you like Billy Joel? most of his songs are not only brilliant, they tell a good story.

This song and 'I am an innocent man,' are my favourites!

I liked old school Billy.
I tend to steer clear of stuff that falls into the "pop" category.
Not always, but i sorta like music from around the edges.
Hard to not like "Piano Man" though. That's a classic..
