Some people gain no pleasure from clothes, they are functunal rather than pleasurable. I love the whole business of looking, buying, decidng what to wear and when to wear it.
You belong to the first group, me, the second.
I have a style, but it's not complicated.
It's been my experience that fashion can be stressful for a lot of women because they don't want other women to think they are tasteless ragamuffins.
It's also been my experience that women stressed out about style stress out a lot of poor innocent men who get dragged into the whole mess..
The best dressed women, imo, are the ones who do their own thing and don't stress about what other women think.

Yes, a while back you told us the Little Lady was asking you to choose what outfit she should wear, didn't know it stressed you out.

This is a vintage 1970s bellydance costume made by a famous Egyptian costumier, Madame Abla. It's the only costume I kept. It's a lovely fit and very flattering so unlike the modern lycra costumes of today that are so fashionable. Lycra is a very cruel fabric and you need to be very slim to wear it well. Also, the tighter fabric doesn't show off the movements as well. The trend in the dance today is overtly sexual which I hate. This is reflected in the costumes. I suspect men might beg to differ.
But that's just my opinion.
@ Diggs, I saw your post showing the pearl-encrusted costume you made, but can’t recall which thread I saw it in.
I’ve been trawling around looking for it since, to reply with the words - absolutely stunning!

It's in Maddogs thread. No doubt if Digger had worn a stetson and spurs with her beautiful costume...he would have commented.

@ Syl…thank you! I didn’t think to look for it there.
It’s easy to lose track of posts, and I didn’t want Diggs to think I hadn’t noticed.

I appreciate the candy much more than the wrapper.
That said, the right wrapper can accentuate the candy, which is a double edged sword.
Lizzo and Beyonce look much different in the same wrapper.

Here is an actual fashion model doing a little cutting down the road from me.
Nice candy and wrappers..

One thing I noticed about Bella is that she wears chaps as an accessory like her former model mother..
There's no reason for chaps in an arena or in your house.
But I guess fashion isn't really about reason anyway. And chaps on the right booty frame the ass nicely..😉

Loads, but most Village people wannabees disappeared about 30 years ago.

Have the gay men of Manchester lost all of their fashion sense?
On an unrelated topic, I've read that a good number of gay bars are closing or just not really calling themselves gay bars. The internet allows for younger guys to meet and there isn't as much of a need for "safe spaces" for gay folks to have a drink. Many large cities here no longer have lesbian bars at all as they have been tolerated in "straight" bars for far longer.

We still have the gay village in Manchester, I tend to avoid town mostly nowadays, but it was always a great place to eat and drink. As far as I know, it's still a pretty safe place to go out, for any gender.

"Around the world and across the UK, gay nightlife is dying. Evidence of this demise and the ongoing threat of bar and club closures can be seen everywhere. In late 2023 the renowned London club G-A-Y closed its doors, as did many other bars and clubs, victims of an array of economic difficulties."
Seems to be a global thing.
Even here we see fewer bars that are divided by race or identity. That's probably a good thing

Confidence is the best way to wear any fashion.
