Same here Mags, it's cold now, high of 6 c with a real chill in the air, but I think we are in for a really cold spell.
Good news is, the nights are now getting a bit lighter.

Same here, but I am being brave and starting the new year off with a good walk, facing the shops today would be hell, so I am steering clear.

Did I mention it's in the 70s?
It really has been a crazy winter.
80s are not uncommon but usually represent only about 3 or 4 days in December. Some years none..

Deep down you wish you were here. Celebrating the new year with appropriate weather....cold and crisp, just as it should be.

I could drive a few hours north and do that.
And, while it was in the 70s on NYE, I think it was almost 40 for the low that night.
While I didn't wear a coat because I was not staying outside for more than a 10 minute walk, I did wear long sleeves and a vest.
And I've celebrated here during an ice storm. No thanks..

Driving for a few hours to experience cold and crisp weather seems a bit of a drag, I just open my front door.
And in a couple of hours I could be in Spain enjoying good temperatures, you would still be driving north.
No snow storms here yet...snow is predicted, but it'll probably be the soft fluffy stuff that barely covers the ground.

Thanks Syl, love Lions, well all animals.
We are off to see my brother tomorrow. He has been thoroughly spoilt by his kids, cooking meals, shopping, visiting etc. I'm so glad he is recovering well. His metal stitches come out tomorrow aswell.

Thank you Syl. I'm going to take a really good strong walkingstick I was given by physio when I had my spine operation, hoping this will help him walk better, more upright, than a walker. He wants to get rid of that now.
