He’s absolutely fuming that Israel & Iran didn’t show him enough respect to *immediately* cave in to his demands He detests being shown up for the clueless clown he really is.
Total obliteration? What total obliteration?
He says the leaked Pentagon intel report is 'fake news' - yeah, right!
The problem was, and still is, General Bone Spurs couldn’t stop himself from running his mouth - well in advance of the attack - by publicly tweeting and doing pressers about it
As a result, the Iranians could predict what was coming and there‘s now compelling evidence that they simply loaded up some trucks and moved their uranium and centrifuges to other locations.
I suspect the Iranians had done that some time ago, as they probably knew an escalation was coming after the initial Israeli attack.
What was the Israeli justification for that attack? That Iran was close to developing weapons grade uranium enrichment. What takes away that reason for continuing Israeli attacks? The Iranian nuclear capability being ostensibly destroyed or slowed down, or at least giving that impression.
Maybe the US attack was telegraphed by Trump and is for show. That would be much like the Iranian response which was to save face.
The situation we are left with is the party which does not stick to the agreement is the obvious aggressor. That is good for moving towards a diplomatic solution.
Personally I think Trump is a net positive in this conflict resolution.

Avon, I really do hope you’re right.
I still believe the strike on Iran was also commandeered to serve as a distraction from Elon’s bombshell Epstein allegations, and the catastrophic ‘Big Beautiful Bill’ that he’s desperate to pass through Congress without too much scrutiny. Plus, as I’ve said, he’s gagging to score a Nobel Peace Prize (like Obama has) so, as usual, his sociopathic vanity played a part too.
I wish I could be as dispassionate and analytical as you are, when it comes to his actions.
This thread is littered with my reasons for despising him as I do. So I freely admit I’m too blinkered to see him as anything other than a demonic entity in human form, who has systematically befouled every aspect of the American government, judiciary, customs and culture.

A clown now with egg on his face.
With Israel‘s initial post-strike assessment findings now in general agreement with what the American media has been reporting, he had no choice but to walk back his ‘complete and total obliteration!’ bullshit.
At a NATO presser, the slippery old lizard slyly added the word ‘virtual’ to the word ‘obliteration’

It's in Israeli's interests to agree with a post strike assessment which shows that Iran's nuclear capability hasn't been destroyed as it justifies a continuation of aggression. I doubt they feel they have finished the job.
The country holding them back isn't Iran or fear of their capability. The country holding them back is Trump's US.

I’ve been trying real hard to cut back on my trump posts. But my self-confessed TDS does sometimes get the better of me.
Today is one of those days…. one of my favourite columnists wrote a piece where he compares the excesses of the see and-be-seen Bezos wedding to his real life blow-up doll, and King Louis XVI’s squeeze, Marie Antoinette’s ‘Let them eat cake!’ moment.
Some (non-boring) historical context, but also a salutary warning about why revolutions happen. Also, the reason why the title of his article references the Jack & Jill nursery rhyme (cos that‘s just how Greg’s thought process rolls )
So I hope no one minds if I share some extracts here … (if it seems a TL,DR to you - keep on scrolling!)
‘ The United States in 2025 is some horrible combination of 1930s Germany and 1780s France. We have a ruling class disconnected from the needs of the poor, working- and middle classes.
We have oligarchs plundering state resources.
We have a rising dictator, dumb as a fence post, with Louis XVI taste in décor.
We have a whole fashion associated with the ruling class, a uniform way its women and its men are expected to look.
We are constructing concentration camps in the Florida Everglades, where alligators prowl.
We have a national debt verging on the unsustainable, a result of cutting taxes while waging wars in far-flung locales.
We have a smirking ruling class whose cruelty is exceeded only by its utter lack of self-awareness.
We have soldiers operating on U.S. soil in violation of the Constitution.
We have a Gestapo, a secret state police, carrying out the dictator’s orders, however unlawful.
We have a nation of FoxNews watchers in denial that any of this is happening.
We have an effete opposition party that is unwilling or unable to fight back.

I don't have a problem with Besos, it's his money and the people who received part of that 50 million for providing a good or service for that wedding are probably appreciative..
I've seen people bitching about the expense and what the government could have done with that money, which is laughable..
I'd much rather see Besos spend his money than have it spent by inept and corrupt congress people..

MD…. “I'd much rather see Besos spend his money than have it spent by inept and corrupt congress people..”
I don’t GAF how he spends it either 🤷🏻♀️ (and if you read the article, neither does Greg Olear). If local businesses and service providers got a welcome financial boost, then absolutely fair play to them too.
And hey, it looks like your Congress might even be giving Bezos yet another tax break as a wedding gift, if 47’s Big Beautiful (Billionaire’s) Bill passes through the Senate. Which of course, it will. They always bend the knee to their Dear Leader.

I read the article. The author cares..
It will pass. One thing both parties can do, is pass expensive bills full of new debt.
And Bezos isn't working for tips so he won't get any new tax cuts. He just gets an extension to the cuts from 2017.

The CBO has estimated that the US debt to GDP ratio could reach 195% by 2050 if things don't change trajectory. That's how empires fall. Not saying the US will become a failed state but it won't be a superpower.
I see Elon is trying to take Trump to task about the spending in the OBBB. He won't succeed. Elon may have money but he have nothing like the political power or influence of Trump, who controls the machinery of government.
Looks like the only way out may be default for the US and printing money eventually. That will lead to tough living conditions for most Americans and the erasure of the middle class.

Based on what I see on right wing sites, you are right about Elon. Trump has his base and they are already turning on Elon.

When the impact is fully felt Trump will probably no longer be President. What will remain are the tax cuts for him and his wealthy friends.
