I've been reading about Albert Pierrepoint, there's a feature about him in True Detective to mark the 30th anniversary of his death.
Although he wouldn't answer anyone when asked, research reckons he hanged 433 people.
16 were women and 2 were British traitors.
He was paid £15 a hanging which is £700 in today's money.
His uncle Tom gave him the advice "If you can't do it without whisky, then don't do it at all"
Albert's father John had also been a hangman but was sacked after turning up paralytic in 1910 to carry out an execution.
There was a film made in 2006 called "Pierrepoint" starring Timothy Spell it's supposed to be very good.
Albert Pierrepoint quit after he travelled all the way to Strangeways to hang someone, only to be told he had been given a reprieve and was to be paid a £1 and not the usual £15

A lot of arguing on Twitter today because apparently there was a "Square Go" in Primark on Friday.
The Birmingham branch of the fashion outlet..
Well one of the women was wearing a very short dress and no drawers and ended up exposed to the world and if that wasn't bad enough she 💩 herself (literally)
Some people have no sympathy for her because you don't go out without drawers especially in a short dress.
Some people thinks she disgusting for well 💩
Other people think she's done nothing wrong and it's the person who uploaded the video who's at fault and they're also angry the woman in black fought someone smaller than her and are angry some people have found the video amusing.

It's like outraged/not outraged tennis on there.

It reminds me of a modern day "What Everyone Wants" that was some place.
My friend worked in there, she lasted about six months.

"What Everys" that was nicknamed, Vera Weisfeld was the owners wife and made the company a turnover over £100 million.
Her sister was a nun, their brother was a friend of my dad's.
They came from this area, Vera always seemed quite nice, although i never spoke to her.
Wore flash clothes, as in leopard print numbers and big patterns.

The MP Tobias Ellwood who was a hero a few years ago after his actions in on of the London Terror attacks has called in the police after he ran over a neighbours pet cat and killed him.
Ellwood drove off and left the cat dying in the street.
The Bengal cat cost a thousand pounds that's him pictured with the family dog.
It seems folk in the village have smashed his windows with a croquet mallet and thrown eggs at them.
That's posh vandals for you, where I am it would have been bricks and a baseball bat.

For starters, it's not illegal to run over a cat and drive off. Then there's the fact that the guy didn't even know he'd run over the cat. He offered to pay for it when he found out. Let your cat out to roam and it could be run over. You don't let your dog out to roam the streets. So why your cat? And if so, that's the risk you take.

I have always had cats and as far as I'm concerned the risk of them getting run over is part of having a outdoor cat.
People are beyond thick idiots if they believe they have the right to be violent to someone just going about their legal business and a accident happens.

I hate to see cats hurt like this, and yes, it invokes strong feelings. But cats are classed as feral, and you take that risk when you let them out to be cats.

More and more people seem to have cats now and keep them inside.
To me it doesn't feel natural, but the cats I know of, seem happy to live their lives inside....possibly because they know no different.

The situation has been resolved.
The owner of Atticus is paying to repair the damage to Tobias Ellwood's window and Tobias Ellwood is making a donation to a Cat Charity.
That's a posh name for a cat, my brother's cat was called Boris.
Boris was a housecat, bruv got him when he was about six weeks old and he lived to be about seventeen.
He always seemed happy and as he'd never been out roaming, he didn't miss it.
I think used to offend my brother over Boris because i phone and arrange to visit him on my brother's day off and he would say "What about me?" Aye I'll see you when I'm there.
Boris died about ten years ago, he had cancer.

He said he didn't know he had run over the cat and I believe him, seems like a decent man.
I mean he spent about ten minutes giving CPR to the policeman who had been stabbed outside Westminster till the ambulance arrived.
If he had known he had hit the cat, he would have stopped.
Some of the comments on the newsite make out he was driving like a maniac, drove even faster when he saw the cat and smiled in his rear view mirror as it lay dying.

This was beautiful and the most underrated film ever - Christopher should haver won the Oscar for best supporting actor.

Scotland which is known as 'The Home Of Golf' has been hosting the Open Championship at St Andrews and it's being played on the Old Course.
St Andrews golf club is one of the oldest remaining golf clubs in the world, it was established in 1843 and holds a special place in the hearts of golfers and especially the Old Course which all golfers would love to play.
However it's not easy what with ballots and a price tag of two hundred and seventy pounds a game!!
I've only played golf once, badly and i was cheating.
