It's safe to say it would not be quite as cute when it grew up...

Another of my animal videos. Pardon the language. While I'm not afraid of these things, I'd prefer they run off and play in tjebwoods.

It was outside of a house I was appraising. It's a Plain Bellied Water Snake.
But I have a hard time telling them from adult cotton mouths. The former is non venomous and the later will put you in the hospital.

Cheers we only have three species here, it's generally too cold for an ectotherm here.
The thing with snakes is if you leave them alone you will be fine as they are scared of humans, it's stepping on one by mistake that is the cause of almost all the bites.
I think they are beautiful animals.

They aren't as afraid as you think. While they usually slither off at the site of a human, that's not always the case. This one stood his ground for about 5 minutes. The best thing to do with snakes is give them a wide berth, especially if you don't know if they are venomous.

I think the US is very lucky to have some of it's wildlife left - we have bugger all really, certainly not any reasonably large animals apart from red deer which can be quite hefty.

Apparently, she had a litter of kits, and this moron approached with his dog. I hope his builder's arse got ripped to shreds!
This happened in Turkey. Locals have named her Azrael, after the Angel of Death.

That's a great name!
'When the Himalayan peasant meets the he-bear in his pride,
He shouts to scare the monster, who will often turn aside.
But the she-bear thus accosted rends the peasant tooth and nail.
For the female of the species is more deadly than the male.'
