More than 600 of the nation’s physicians sent a letter to President Trump this week calling the coronavirus shutdowns a “mass casualty incident” with “exponentially growing negative health consequences” to millions of non COVID patients.
600 Physicians Say Lockdowns Are A ‘Mass Casualty Incident’
Well if the BAME percentage of covid19 incidences and deaths dramatically spike in a week or two we will know why. If this does happen, I hope experts, the Government, and varying authorities will tell anyone questioning BAME deaths. Exactly what the score is.
A lot of very young people in those crowds. The most likely group to be asymptomatic. Bound to be a fair few asymptomatic's in those crowds.
In the daily briefings of late some of the journalists have wanted recommendations from the authorities for the BAME group to be spelled out. Number 1 most obvious common sense recommendations ever, don't attend mass gatherings, don't mass gather! Keep 2 meters apart at all times.
DUH!

I very much doubt it - after all the violence and vandalism the coppers should start getting a lot tougher - but they can't because that would be 'racist'.
Those fucking idiots in Bristol for example - a nice big water cannon could have solved the problem very quickly indeed and I am only half joking.
I have not seen mass hysteria like this in the UK since the death of Diana.
The difference is that then they were not putting everyone's lives in danger.
We are still in the middle of a Pandemic - but virtue signalling and being woke is deemed far more important than other people's health.
The bastards.
How many Super-spreaders are in those vast crowds I wonder - it only takes one.
I hope they are very proud of themselves when their elderly/vulnerable relatives start suffering from Covid-19.

Weddings could start taking place again in Scotland on Thursday, as long as the bride and groom wear masks that is.
Oh and the minister and the guests.
(All ten of them)
It's being suggested that hand gel could be given as wedding favours, in fancy wee pokes I imagine.
Those that can't go can watch the nuptials online and throw confetti at their computers.
The best news re coronavirus we have had for a long time...a medication has been found that can cut the death rate of patients who are already ill with coronavirus.
It's cheap, readily available, and is already well established.

The scientist's can be proud of themselves, that's incredibly fast results when you consider Covid had only been around this year so there was precious little time to research it.
It is a relief to know that medications and vaccines are being worked on so swiftly behind the scenes because the 2 metre rule will certainly mean the end of the economy, businesses simply cannot operate that way for long.
Love your avi btw Twizzler , what is it if it's OK to ask?

Mary Boateng, on the news today should have been shielded. The nurse would still be alive if she had been. Her dad died from suspected Corona virus 5 days before she did. Those beautiful kids have lost a mum and a grandpa and her husband is heartbroken. Fucking sad.

Huge surge of Covid in 22 states in America recently.
Also more than 2000 lost their lives in India yesterday and Brazil continues to be a total disaster zone - but it seems most people think it's all over.
It's not.

I don't think it's over here either. There might be a small second wave because Boris decided in his wisdom to wait a week too long for lockdown.
I don't know how I feel about the 1 metre theory that businesses are pressuring the Government for. Tbh I think 2m is probably spot on in terms of social distancing but realistically that will destroy the economy.
What about school children? They are literally losing half a year of education because parents are scared to send their kids back. Young kids will not socially distance anyway, there's no chance! Teachers won't be able to separate them every single time and the teachers should really be socially distancing from the kids incase they have it but are showing no symptoms .
Social distancing at 2 metres is not just impractical for society, it's impossible. It just won't work. It depends whether human life is valued more than the structure of the economy.

A lot don’t value human life, as it’s shown with the riots recently.
I think that there will be doormen on every pub and club and only letting so many in to keep
with the social distancing, but how many people will adhere to that once they’ve had a few drinks.

The only hope I can see of eradicating it is by medical means. If a vaccine isn't found we will all have to live with coronavirus like we live with influenza and the common cold.
It'll crop up every winter for a start, there will be surges all over the world when travel resumes.
The human race is not designed to live a solitary existence for ever, and when countries cease the lockdown completely social distancing will be a thing of the past too for millions.
If it's found that once you have had the virus you are not immune and can catch and spread again I see population numbers gradually decreasing world wide.

Reading the articles I have recently the way humanity has encroached upon and destroyed much of the natural world is the perfect way for new zoonotic viruses to cross over from other species.
COVID-19 is just the first of what will be many more in increasing frequency and number of pandemics to come.

Small now? I hope you weren't the one saying there would be a large second wave or something similar the other day.
The latest R rate is still holding firm. Actually dropped a tad in fact.
There are too many pessimistic people around. Now that we know much more about the virus than anyone knew in those initial stages. I actually think the Government of England right now look to have timed easing out of lockdown well. Scotland may have been a tad slow, not sure Sturgeon needed to wait as long as she has to ease things. The economy in Scotland could suffer very heavily.

HIV is a Zoonotic disease and we have had them throughout recorded history the most famous being the Bubonic Plague, the difference is now we are creating a perfect storm for such viruses to cross over species far more often - this article below explains it rather well.
There are more, many more pandemics to come - it's inevitable and there will be only one species to blame.

There have been 186 deaths in the last 24 hours.
The numbers are rising again and we all know why, the vast numbers on the beaches, the trashing of the national parks, the illegal (and violent) street parties, the raves and the BLM demonstrations.
People seem to be losing their minds, and it will cost lives.
