Wild animals that are hunted should stay wild...not end up hung on some wall as a trophy for some idiot who has to prove his manhood by shooting defenceless animals.

I hate these cowards, called hunters. Easy with a gun eh. I wish the lion got him.
These beautiful animals should be able to roam free, not shot by rich men with nothing else to do!

Most wild animals do stay wild and die a slow natural death, unlike. cows, which are almost always killed long before they get old.

At least they did naturally. I hate cows being killed, but then I don't eat them!

Most wild animals don't stay wild, at least they haven't done in the past, which is why many species are bordering on extinct, and why 20,000 elephants a year are still slaughtered for their ivory.
If humans leave the wild alone, they will die naturally, and like humans, that can be in pain, but at least they have lived the life they were born to lead.

Most animals aren't ever hunted, and those that are now, are not in any more danger of extinction than cows.

"Many hunted animals are in grave danger of extinction, with over 300 mammal species threatened specifically by hunting, poaching, and trapping for meat, medicine, or trophies. Research indicates that hunting has caused severe population declines in large mammals (e.g., rhinos, giraffes) and is driving an extinction crisis, particularly in Asia, Africa, and South America."

Exactly. Same as sharks, killed for their fins, cut off and thrown back in the sea to drown! Whales killed, even though they are meant to be protected. No animal is safe from greedy hunters!
I hate these killers of animals. I despair that in this day and age it still happens.

Illegally harvesting animals isn't hunting anymore than shop lifting is shopping..

I didn't think this distinction had to made because I thought people knew the difference........ 🙄
"Hunting is the legal, regulated, and ethical harvesting of wildlife, managed through licenses, seasons, and conservation laws to maintain population sustainability. Conversely, poaching is the illegal, unregulated killing or capturing of animals, often involving trespassing, protected species, or prohibited methods."

Why are you trying to justify the stalking and killing of animals?
Trophy hunters kill wild animals for fun,,,the Internet is full of pics like the one above.
Key Aspects of Legal Trophy Hunting:
Regulation and Legality: It is distinct from poaching, as it operates legally under government-issued permits, quotas, and specific seasons, often in designated "hunting blocks".
Target Species: Hunters often target large or rare animals, including the "Big Five" (lion, leopard, rhinoceros, elephant, and buffalo), but the practice is controversial due to the vulnerability of these species.
Economics: Wealthy hunters pay significant fees to local, often cash-strapped, governments and for private, guided services.

Nine dead and many injured in a school shooting in Canada. Early police reports said the shooter was a female and among the dead.
Other reports say the shooter is transgender, shot his mother and brother dead before killing seven more at school.

I'm showing the distinction between hunting and poaching. The former is a practice like ranching and farming, designed to make sure a species flourishes..
The latter is a criminal act with no regards to the species at all.
And the entire topic was brought up because hunted animals have a far more likely chance of dying of old age related causes then cows or chickens..
A cow can live 15 years. 99% of males are killed by about 2 years in age. Of the females not killed before 2, almost all of them are killed by the age of 5 or so as they aren't producing calves or milk..
Such is the circle of life.
Now you can resume watching Lion King..

Your local butcher makes money chopping up dead animals your local farmer raised.
People eat meat and they need to make a living.
Wild animals need to be managed and that also requires money..

At last the news outlets are saying Jesse Strang was male.
All day they have been referring to him as a 'female in a dress'. He was only 18, had apparently been transitioning for 2 or 3 years.
God knows what harm is being done mentally and physically from the drugs, and the encouragement from others telling youngsters that they can be any gender they choose to be.
