The singer was seriously worried about the chap in the song title. It was a previously unheard of band with a bit of a quirky name who had a couple of chart records around 2007/8 I think it was, then seemed to fade into obscurity. If nobody can get it I'll end up linking the song.

No 8 is The Sun Ain’t Gonna Shine Anymore - The Walker Brothers.
As for no 7, I can’t think of anything by Elton John that will fit. But a song that comes to mind is an old standard called Stormy Weather, although I don’t know the artist - could it be that?
