Suspended for agreeing with what is now government policy is an odd look"
Vindictive piece of shit. Didn’t he do similar re child benefit a while back?

A 12 year old girl has been sent home from school for wearing a Union Jack dress for 'culture celebration day'. She was isolated from the other pupils and had to wait for her dad to collect her.
Pupils were told to wear something that reflected their culture and to give a little speech about it.
She was also denied to make her speech, which was a cute one about drinking tea, fish & chips, kings & queens, and castles.
Her father says his daughter was told the event in Rugby was ‘not for her as she gets to celebrate being British every day’
The head should be sacked. The school trust have only apologised after this was made public.
This sums up the attitude that some people in authority are all too happy to go along with.
"It's a medium multi-ethnic school and there were other pupils who wore traditional Asian dress and headwear which was acceptable, so why not allow a union flag dress?"

I totally agree. The Head should be sacked and Inspectors should review schools fairness, standards and ideals.
she only apologised because she got bad press, and wants to keep her job.
Totally racist against this girl. What's wrong with wearing your countries flag!

Just when you think he couldn't possibly do anything more stupid than he has already done, he decides to cause further division within the party, rather than try to unite it.
Especially when the thing they voted for is now seen as being government policy.

It's not just the extreme woke stupidity of it, but also ruining the childs day, something she will remember for a long time.
It was probably quite upsetting for her to go from being excited about dressing up and reading her speech out, to being isolated from the other kids and being sent home.

It’s taken on a life of its own, it seems to be everywhere which I’m glad to see.

Pitiful in itself until she said “I didn’t understand it so I asked my English sister-in-law what are they laughing at, I don’t understand it”.
Point being…Nadiya Hussain was born, raised and educated in Luton.
She's been whining and playing the race card because her mundane cookery programme got dropped by the BBC. If your ratings drop, they drop you. Nothing to do with race.

I’ve never watched any of these cookery shows (apart from Gordon Ramsey and that’s to watch his antics rather than the dishes) so I’m pretty well ignorant to these personalities. She does seem to be a bit of a diva/professional victim going by what I’ve since read.
Her “English SIL” comment made me think she was an immigrant who had picked up the language and accent pretty well until I Googled her.

Her true colours have been showing for a while.
She went from the modest, quiet, likeable contestant on TGBBO, to a guest on various chat shows that had a lot to say for herself.
Now the race card comes out because she is out of favour....predictable and boring.

Way to celebrate diversity and acceptance, whilst simultaneously stoking up even more divisiveness - as if there isn’t enough of that already 😡

It doesn't make sense. This really IS a case of wokery gone mad. I don't understand what she was supposed to wear instead tbh..and how is the event "not for her"? Was she supposed to not participate?? I'm now beyond confused, will read the article.
She's only 12, being isolated like that infront of her peers will stay with her. Shocking behaviour.

If it's not part of our culture to control what people wear, why ban an item of clothing that women wear for different reasons?
I think limiting where and when it should be worn would be more reasonable.
We wouldn't be able to walk in Muslim country in shorts, etc. We would respect that. They should respect our dress code.
I would hate Britain to be compared to Iraq or Iran, who wants to go back centuries.
We will, if we don't stop burkas. They are medieval, men controlling women. Not part of their religion.
Some women will say they want to wear the burqa, if it's their choice, who are we to say they cant?
I think they should be banned if driving a car, entering a bank or similar, in schools, and if an employer doesn't think they are suitable to be worn in the workplace...so be it. If someone feels more comfortable wearing them in some situations, like has been said, we are a free country.
Correct me if I’m wrong but weren’t helmets banned due to security/safety issues?…I vaguely remember concerns being raised somewhere at sometime.
A late follow on…
“ And this is exactly why the Burqa and face coverings should be banned in this country..Three Nigerian men were arrested at an airport in Algeria after attempting to board a flight to Dubai while disguised as Arab women!
Dressed in traditional robes, hijabs, and wearing heavy makeup, the men tried to pass through security undetected. However, airport officials grew suspicious and uncovered the ruse during routine screening procedures. Authorities did not publicly disclose the motive behind their attempted travel in disguise, but the incident sparked widespread attention across North African media prompting questions about the lengths some are willing to go in pursuit of escape or a fresh start.” https://x.com/Alexandr4Denman/status/1946166019401118123

I‘m out of the loop with what goes on in the UK these days - too much effed-up stuff happening here in Spain and, of course, in Trumplandia.
But this story really did get to me! Such unnecessary and pointless virtue-signalling, which only served to disappoint and demoralise that poor kid.

I don't always think it's a good thing when a parent seeks publicity for a school singling out their child in a certain way. Wearing inappropriate footwear or dying their hair blue and being suspended, etc..pics of their blue haired bovver booted kids looking suitable sad splashed all over the papers.
But this case is different. The girl must have been humiliated and upset, and the rest of the class would have learnt the lesson that being proud of your heritage (but only if you are British) is something not to be celebrated.
Good on the Dad for taking this up and showing the school...and hopefully other schools who push this agenda, that we have a LOT of heritage to celebrate, and it should be encouraged, not punished.
