I read that. She had clearly done her research and made the women real, not just the victims of some murdering madman.
Terrible the lives the woman led, one turfed out because she didn't have the money for a bed for the night. Two pence was all it was. A few pounds in today's money.

I've read a lot of books about Jack the Ripper.
An interesting one that takes a different look at things is by John Morris, Jack the Ripper, The Hand of A Woman.
It suggests the killer was actually female and the reason she wasn't caught was because a woman covered in blood wouldn't have aroused suspicion in those days because babies were born at home and she would just have been seen as a mothers help on her way home.

A Indy Campaigner has been convicted over threatening messages he sent to George Galloway and Angus Robertson.
I've seen this nutjob a few times online and the worst of it is...he isn't even Scottish.

The poverty in those times was crushing. Women have had such a long hard fight for equality and it really pisses me off when these woke trans clowns try to wipe us out.

I love reading and was reading some facts about books, apparently a "Mills and Boon" book is sold every ten seconds in the UK.
I've never read one, I prefer a good murder.
I never have read one of them books, not.my thing. I like historical fiction, mysteries and thrillers. Much more interesting.
Then you'll like what I'm reading right now. It's about the in depth life stories of the Jack the Ripper victims.

It's disgusting Digs.
People who bleed, chest feeders, birthing parent, women are being erased to keep a small minority happy.
Look at Keir Starmer, couldn't answer yes or no when someone asked 'Can a woman have a penis?'
If he came back now, 200 years later, he would see how accurate his prediction was.

Sharon Tate was mentioned in another thread, she was murdered when she was eight and a half months pregnant.
Paul was the name she had chosen for her baby, he would have been 53 years old this month.
Marie Wilks murdered when seven months pregnant, snatched from beside the road in 1988 and still unsolved.
Nikitta Grender murdered when she was eight and a half months pregnant, the beast was caught and jailed for 35 years.
It should have been a whole life tariff, he was found guilty of arson, rape murder and child destruction.
Child destruction is the crime of killing an unborn baby but viable foetus.
The murder of Marie Wilks has puzzled me since it happened, how could someone not have seen her being abducted from a busy motorway?

Small fact...we don't have the crime of Abduction here it's "The carrying off or confining a person forcibly and without lawful authority"
We don't have a crime called Arson either, it's "wilful fire raising or culpable or reckless conduct"

I checked, seems to be the same as abduction or carrying folk away without their consent Syl.
Of course we also have three verdicts, guilty not guilty and not proven.
Or the "Bastard Verdict" as it's called unofficially .

Ryan Giggs is on trial just now, I'm not really following proceedings but his love poem to his girlfriend caught my eye and I thought "Romance isn't deid after all"
I would post it all but the tears will be tripping me again so just the bottom line...
"I'm gonna end by saying you are my love, my friend, my soul and most of all you believe in me, which makes me feel as hard as a totem pole"

I have read about 6 of his books...great writer.
