I was watching a clip about a dog that was rescued from his owner after the owner was caught punching the dog.
Despite being rescued the dog still was subdued, this is why...
Collar with pokes on the inside.
Vile abuse. They should weld this to the man's neck!😠
He got a suspended sentence and a fine.
Disgusting the lenient way animal abusers are treated.

The engineer came yesterday to fix the dishwasher.
He's coming back on Thursday.
In all my days I have never had anything fixed on the actual day, they always have to order a part.

He's not a big dog, about the size of a border collie, but you only have to slip on wet leaves or get taken unawares, and any dog can have you over. He's a husky, and they're bred to pull, so that's part of the problem. However, I'd never have a dog bigger than him. I can't imagine trying to control say, a Great Dane.
I remember once he pulled me over when I took him out on a local field. I had flip flops on, and he just set off at the end of this extra long lead we use that lets him run round freely, and it snapped taut, nearly pulled my arms out of the sockets and I did this little tippy toe dance as I tried to keep my balance as my head snapped back. It was like something out of Benny Hill. I hit the deck right on my 38 DDs, which broke my fall. Little twat

Yup, the only time I'd ever put a dog in a harness is if I had a husky and he was pulling a sled.
The rest of the time, I want the dog miserable if he decides to pull on the lead.
My oldest has a Great Pyrenees and they haven't trained him worth a shit. Thankfully he's not remotely aggressive to other dogs or people because he's a hard headed asshole at times. I dog sit him a few times a year and when I walk him, it's damn near a rodeo for about 5 minutes. I insist on him walking on a loose lead and I refuse to let him lead me..

Lol...I can just imagine.
Husky's are powerful dogs. I used to walk one, with my own dog, when I was a kid. People were not as aware back then, the owner, an elderly lady, shouldn't have let me take him, but she did.
Luckily, he was such a gorgeous dog, he never did anything that scared me.

Ahh right, I don't know much about Pyrenees, I do know labs usually have a gorgeous temperament.
There is always the exception to the rule. One of the most upsetting videos I have seen was a golden lab who was almost killing one of her pups, she had already killed the rest of the litter. Thank God someone rescued the pup, which was badly neglected, bitten and crippled, (thanks to her) before it also died.

Great Pyrenees are livestock guardian dogs. Not especially aggressive but they will attack and kill anything that threatens their "flock". They are bred to work independently from humans so they tend to be a bit more difficult to train. They run on instinct..
They are used all over Texas by sheep and goat ranchers because of our coyotes.

With Donald Trump winning. It just goes to demonstrate the never ending slip towards Fascism that we all have to endure.Kamala was really shit from the start.Centrist politics enables Fascism.
The rise of authoritarian/populist governments is only designed to benefit the rich and the corporations aided and abbeted by the RW media that live of the backs of the poor. It's a crying shame that many are too thick to realise unfortunately.
We all have to get used to that fact.
We Just to keep a look out for your nearest and dearest.
This world has taken a very dark turn for the worst IMO.
Trump has said that there won't be any elections after this one.He loves Putin and wants simmilar for the US.

God fuck America!
This is the kind of hyperbole that keeps everyone stirred up.
Trump has an authoritarian streak no doubt. But he won't have the legislative numbers to just roll over anything that gets in his way.
No doubt he will use every power the executive branch affords him, but the Dems in congress can still stop him..
As can the federal courts like they do to all presidents..
