As I've mentioned it's my mum and dad's 60th wedding anniversary in March and mother is subtly looking at holiday brochures.
She said to my dad "what should we do for our anniversary"
He said 'we could get a takeaway '
🙄
 Aahhh...romance never dies.
They seem to have decided on Edinburgh, that's where they had their honeymoon.
Me and my brother will take them out for a meal, no party, my mother is adamant about that.
Might be because best man and chief bridesmaid are both dead.
Sad that.
I am with your mum, I hate parties too.
A meal out with family is an ideal way to spend a celebration...it's what we did for our 50th anniversary, and I loved it.

My hub had a heart attack day before our anniversary. He will do anything to get out of taking me out.
Seriously, very scary but he's fine, and we went out after.

Maybe it was the thought of the expense of a meal out in London.Â
Â
Seriously though Mags, I'm glad it had a happy ending, and you managed to celebrate when he was well again. x

It's been on the local news all day. Poor woman, working to help people in A&E and she is fighting for her life after being stabbed.
Seen it in some news now. Poor nurse. 37 yr old man arrested. Â
Apparently he got angry at having to wait so long😮

 They have named him...eventually.
Â
Rumon Haque has been charged with attempted murder. He will probably be an English Christian.

A nice meal with just the immediate family is best.
We'll look for a nice restaurant.
Parties are too noisy.

You wouldn't believe the things he's done of suggested over the years.
I think he does it to wind her up.
Like buying that tartan suit for a wedding, bloody hell!!
🙄
Â
Lol he can just put it down to his age.
Sadly he's been doing it all his life!!

 Third time lucky.Â
Â
I have just had the one, and a serious relationship before him, which ended when I met my oh...he was lovely too.
A couple of casual relationships in between, I don't think I have ever had a bad relationship, I have been lucky.

So I went to bed last night feeling fit, woke up in the night for a wee, and I had a pain in my right hand side, probably twisted it as I turned over, got back into bed, no problem. This morning it's stiffened up and I can hardly move. Taken some ibuprofen, but the afternoon plans are cancelled, it's all I can do to sit in an upright chair and hope the pain subsides a bit.Â

Maddog, No, I am sure I have just managed to twist myself.
I have 'done my back in' several times...most people have at one time or another.
This pain is the same, just further round towards the abdomen. I feel well, just in acute pain when I move. I have taken painkillers, tried to move around a bit (done some ironing)Â but anything that involves twisting or bending is out for the minute.

 I've had two serious ones.Â
Â
The first woke me in the middle of the night. After Googling for an hour I drove to the hospital and walked in and told them I think I have a kidney stone. Receptionist agreed because she saw me walking in all hunched over..Said I was doing the "kidney stone walk".
Â
My daughter had one while pregnant with her second child, meaning many drugs were off the table.
Â
She said she'd rather give birth than pass one of those again Â
