I still think NATO would be better without us in it. I don't know if that would have kept Trump out of the negotiations, but it might have.
China is rattling sabres about Taiwan again. They would love nothing more than for US troops to get mixed up in Ukraine.
A properly funded NATO army without the US can handle Putin and leave us to deal with China, which NATO has no ability to contain..
I think it may have been a damn sight better for the Ukraine if the US was not a member of NATO.
There probably would not have been the same opposition to them joining, and they would have been protected from the Russian invasion.

I agree. We complicate things and are hardly necessary when you compare Europe to Russia. NATO was designed to contain the Soviets and Eastern Europe. That threat is long gone.

This Let the MAGAts do their posturing ‘America First!‘ shite and eff all the way off into their own blissful Isolationist Nirvana. Especially given the constantly flip-flopping POTUS currently presiding over it all.
Another way to help finance Ukraine and eventually make reparations, if and when Putin has finally retreated, would be to unfreeze and distribute the countless hundreds of billions of dollars of Russian money, that have been sequestered and frozen outside of Russia. I can’t think of a better use for those funds!
I don't want to get anyone's hopes up too much...........🤷

☺️ Well now, this brightened up my day. Gawd - I wish I could write like this!
The whole tweet is worth a minute to read, but this is my favourite part 👇🏻
“The festering carcass of American rot shoved into an ill-fitting suit……It is America’s shadow made flesh, a rotting pumpkin idol, proving that when a nation kneels before power, money, and spite, it doesn’t just lose its soul—it shits out this bloated obscenity and calls it a leader.”

So you could sound like an arrogant American hating elitist?
Dude's free to attack the orange one, but attacking the American people is a bit too far..

I have seen you make quite a few disparaging remarks about the British...so what's the difference?

There are certain subjects I have discovered that are impossible to have civil discussion on because the general public have been fed lies and misinformation and they react emotionally to subjects that know absolutely nothing about except what they have been told and shown by the industries of misinformation.

Personally, I always try to see the ‘nuance’ and ‘context’ in whatever I’m reading
’Nuance & context’ are among my favourite words in the English language.

I’ve said many times that I could post daily, about all of the Draft Dodger-in-Chief’s excesses.
Sometimes though, he does something particularly depraved, and I feel I can’t not comment on it.
This fucked-up, gakked-up domestic terrorist - because that’s exactly what she was - tried to break through the barricaded entryway into the House Chamber during the January 6th riot at the Capitol.
She was warned at least twice to back off, but ignored the warnings being yelled at her. The security official who had no choice but to shoot her was cleared of all wrongdoing.
Rather than quietly mourn her daughter‘s death, her grotesque mother wasted no time in capitalising on it all by popping up everywhere like a rash, in front of any cameras prepared to film her. She shamelessly kept monetising her daughter’s passing any way she could.
She recently hit ultimate pay dirt, when the Draft Dodger awarded the family $5million.
And to top it all off, this is who the Draft Dodger is now planning on awarding full Military Honours to.

She obviously engaged in breaking and entering, and criminal trespass. That makes her criminal.
Is everyone breaking into a building a domestic terrorist, or do you have to be breaking into government buildings?

Domestic terrorism definition…
+4
Domestic terrorism involves violent acts or threats against a nation's civilian population or infrastructure, motivated by domestic ideological goals such as political, social, racial, or environmental beliefs, with the intent to coerce the public or influence government policy without foreign direction

OK, I'll go with that definition, because its accurate. I guess I just get a little perturbed when we place different values on different targets.
I've always considered government buildings to be more legitimate targets than a private business, if you're upset with the government.
When our riots kicked off here in 2020, I was glad to see the police station in Minneapolis stormed. They should have moved on to city hall..
Unfortunately, it digressesed to burning and destroying all sorts of private property of people that had nothing to do with it..
While I don't support what happened on Jan 6, I'm not all that opposed to making politicians and government officials a bit nervous at times..

Civil unrest will soon be a thing of the past. He’s already starting to gradually get civilians accustomed to seeing the US military patrolling in communities across America.
(imo) This is all a very strategic prelude in the run-up to next year’s midterms, which he’s clearly freaking out about. Especially given what happened in Iowa recently, where a Democrat flipped a crucial state Senate seat. That election result shattered the state’s Republican supermajority.

I should have said attacking America isn't helping. It's another own goal.
All countries are full of flawed humans. To suggest America has always had more because you hate the current president is a little silly..
He has Trump dialed in pretty good though. What he should do is focus on the problems within the team that lost to such a flawed character..
President Draft-Dodger: ‘Department of Defense? Nah…that’s so 1940’s! 🥱 I’m changing it to the Department of War’.
Reporter: ‘Won’t that take an Act of Congress?’
President Draft-Dodger: ‘Meh🥱 Congress will go along with it, if they need to. But I don’t think they’ll need to’
Btw, this is the Secretary of Defense, and he’s all up for his department‘s name change 👇🏻

Yeah, I watched that show. And while Democrats are winning a few things here and there, they are in disarray.
Reading articles and looking into my crystal ball in regards to Trump's health.
I think we will see a President Vance before the next election.
If we get JD who wrote "Hillbilly Elegy", we will be OK. I just don't know if that man still exists..
