It's a cowardly punch, the man had looked away and wasn't focused.
Oh I just googled, a sucker punch means exactly that.

There have been incidents when people have been killed. One not so long ago here in a supermarket car park.
The man fell backwards and banged his head on the concrete, he died.

A sucker punch was known as a dirty punch in London. Not good at all.

How is he earning that salary whilst locked up?
Crime really does pay, eh.
UPDATE:
“Jailed MP Mike Amesbury has had his 10-week prison sentence suspended for repeatedly punching a constituent during a row in the street.”
Anyone surprised to hear this? I’m not tbh.

DISGRACED Labour MP Mike Amesbury has been freed from jail after winning an appeal against his sentence for punching a constituent.

"Hearing Amesbury's appeal, a judge at Chester Crown Court said that while the length of the sentence had been "spot on", it should be suspended.
Honorary Recorder of Chester Judge Steven Everett also ordered Amesbury to carry out 200 hours' unpaid work, undertake a 12-month alcohol monitoring programme, go on an anger management course and carry out 20 days of rehabilitation work." https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/ce8yy0116y8o
If the length of sentence is deemed "spot on" then why has he been released?
"Unpaid work"- I take it he will be doing that whilst still being paid his £90K salary?
A complete farce...not even 4 days from sentencing to freedom.

It's no surprise at all tbh, but the good news is that it could speed up the possibility of a by-election. His constituents have 6 weeks to sign a recall petition - and just 10% will be enough to trigger a by-election. The appeal system could have delayed that by up to a year.
Labour won that seat by a large margin, but Reform came second. Given that Labour's and Reform's ratings have gone in opposite directions, there must be a chance that Reform could win that by-election.
It would be the biggest of all daggers through both Starmer's and the Labour Party's hearts if that were to happen.
It would end up being a good trade off for Amesbury to be free but Reform taking the seat. So not all bad news.

Agreed. Although tubby did manage 3 brutal nights under lock and key, 3 nights…for lying to the police, hitting someone then again repeatedly when the other was on the ground.
i’d be interested to know what grounds he put forward…what changed in those 3 days?

Some bastard has stabbed a Scottish police dog.
The dog has been rushed to the vets for surgery.
Apparently the guy responsible was running around Aberdeen with a knife.

What an absolute arsehole. I hope the dog makes a full and speedy recovery.
I’ve been watching a great deal of K-9 YouTube videos lately and the dogs are unbelievable. Mainly American vids so gun threats feature heavily which worries me when I see the dogs being unleashed. The satisfaction and joy of seeing and hearing some wannabe gangsta scrote screaming for his momma when his arse cheek is clamped by the dog is incredible.
I love the respect the police officers give the K-9s and how they are regarded as serving officers, it lifts my heart.

Not really irritated but amused. Me and the little lady were out last night listening to some bands and these 4 odd (not looking like the typical guy from Ft Worth) dudes come staggering in. One has a shirt with a giant American flag and Trump on the back. Of course they head right to me because I'm a magnet for people like this I guess.
They start talking some shit about my leg being up on my GFs chair (still don't know what they were talking about because it was loud and they were from about 5000 miles east).
Newcastle to be exact. They were over here for a wedding and one of them was very friendly (less drunk) and we were discussing hats, brands and styles.. They were going to be in Fort Worth for a fee days before they headed to Austin, then Vegas..
I was going to mention that the Trump shirt may not be the best idea in Austin, but I didn't want to get into it with them.
I did tell them that they made the right choice by avoiding the coasts. Seems like Texas and Fort Worth specifically is becoming quite the destination for folks from other countries.
