There are calls for her to make public the innacurate advice she claims she was given.
Then whoever gave it to her will defend themselves, or they will be finished instead.
So unless her tax lawyer doesn't know how taxes work, she has either lied or witheld information in an attempt to get out of paying the correct amount of tax.
No Rayner tears for the OAPs, disabled, homeless, raped kids but caught in, alleged, tax fraud, seems there’s plenty.
Edit: just watched Syl’s video. Which, if true, explains court order. Damsel in distress vibes…sick kid, understanding ex, ignorance of the law…
interesting that she didn’t approach Starmer re resignation but took her hubby’s advice.
Sue her original advisors to cover her £40 thousand “error”? (my advice for free) .
Many will fall for it I’m sure.

Agree Magica.
Does anyone know if she sought this “expert” advice before or after people demanded answers?
Starmer has said he “was proud of Rayner, who ‘has come from a working-class background to be deputy prime minister’…so I doubt he’ll sack her and I also doubt she’ll resign as she is portraying herself as being the victim on all this.

Hello Mags, hope you have been well I hope she volunteers to go. I do think it was a genuine mistake as she consulted with accountants and they didn't give her the correct info. I don't want her to go personally but the right wing press are like a rabid dog with a bone.
What I don't quite understand is why politicians like Angela and Reeves are held to account for their flawed actions but not Farage.
Why does nobody ever ask Farage why he didn't produce the two million quid he promised would be given to the NHS if Brexit became a reality?? If Starmer or the Tory leader (I forget her name) had made such a claim and not come up with the goods the press would have a field day. Well they would have to resign.
What's FAR worse and more pertinent to the Immigration crisis is when we left Brexit we were no longer able to send the migrants back to their country of origin. So if we were still in the EU we wouldn't have an immigration problem..and we left the EU because many electorates put their faith in Farage's lies. That wasn't the only reason of course but the NHS receiving 2 million cemented the decision in the electorates minds.
Yet Farage is on course to become the next PM therefore ,personally profiting by causing the Immigration problem we now have. He is ecstatic this problem he created is happening or he would be irrelevant. He is relishing in the riots and the chaos that has engulfed our country.
The Brexit deal the Tories made meant we would be unable to return migrants hence why we are stuck in his problem now. Yet nobody is annoyed with the Tories either, their lies and many flaws just go unchallenged. It shows how weak Labour and their media department are that they don't remind the public of these facts. Although sadly it does seem like it's one rule for Farage and another for other politicians so I doubt it would matter.

Hi Fluffs, good to see you.
I agree, Nigel should be made to answer.
So many politicians are bent, and line their own pockets. I can't stand her, hope she goes.
Nigel is the best of a bad lot, but all we got now, for hope in this country.

The lying, scheming, CV changing, expenses fiddling, freebie hoover Rachel Reeves says she has full confidence in Rayner - what an endorsement that is!
As with Starmer, when he was caught not declaring all of his freebies, Rayner has 'referred herself' to the independant ethics advisor. Lammy did the same when he went fishing with Vance without a licence. They all do it, and nothing ever comes of it. Saying that you have referred yourself is just a get out of jail free card, that is supposed to make you looking innocent and transparent over what it was you were caught doing wrong.
It's like robbing a bank, then referring yourself to the bank robbers watchdog, then being let off because you referred yourself

None that are too cheerful Anon but thank you for saying that.
I have every respect for people upset about immigration but Farage will take away the human rights act in order to get rid of migrants. That is too much of a dangerous road to go down and nobody in the EU will associate with us. Who knows what freedoms we will lose if that goes ahead. Abortion rights will definitely be tested, and that will be the start of female freedoms whether you personally agree with abortion or not.
He has also said he hoped he can return the immigrants including the women and children to Afganistan and the Taliban. The Taliban.
Farage has said he respects Putin the most out of all politicians..there isn't much else to say.
If the UK votes in this far right Trump lite bigot and has no qualms with him eradicating our freedoms just so immigration is lowered nobody will associate with this country except ones with dictatorships and it won't be a country many will be proud to live in.
We have so much else to worry about, the NHS that the Tories seriously underfunded and is now on its knees, young men being suicidal and mental health in general, our schools literally falling down because the Tories built them on the cheap, people not being paid enough to live and still needing food banks, young people with no chance of ever making it on the housing market..
But no. Everyday it's immigration, immigration. You get tired of fighting. But nor do you want to reap the chilling future the fascists will sew because they are fixated on getting different ethnicities out of the country. Black people born and bred in this country are reporting getting harassed walking down the street. I know people on here aren't like that but this is not the way.

Girls as young as 12 and 13, groomed and raped by men old enough to be their grandads....yet in his opinion, they are the trash.
Well he is right to stand down and is a disgusting waste of space. However men of all ethnicities hurt women and children in.Britain. Stats show you are correct, "Gangs' are mostly of Pakistani origin who are born in Britain. But the man most likely to abuse overall (alone whether it be his his own daughter or another minor of either gender) is white. Most sexual offenders in.The UK are white British males.
There is a bloke in Reform arrested for beating up his wife and Farage didn't want that info to be released to the public. I wouldn't want a man like that running the country but I accept that's just my personal view.
I hope the Reform member was sacked but I have no idea, he would certainly still be a member if the public were not privy to the truth.

Oh dear…
“Angela Rayner’s lawyers: We never gave her tax advice”
“ Angela Rayner’s property lawyers today avoided any responsibility for the fiasco over her tax.
The high-street conveyancing firm she used to buy a flat issued a devastating statement saying they had calculated the stamp duty based on the information she provided.
It could prove a fatal blow to the deputy prime minister who had sought to lay the blame for her troubles on her advisers.
In her tearful interview on Wednesday she said she had received incorrect advice over the amount of stamp duty to pay.
But today the small family-run conveyancing firm which dealt with her property purchase, Verrico & Associates, based in Herne Bay, Kent, hit back.
Managing director Joanna Verrico said: 'We acted for Ms Rayner when she purchased the flat in Hove. We did not and never have given tax or trust advice. It's something we always refer our clients to an accountant or tax expert for.
'The stamp duty for the Hove flat was calculated using HMRC's own online calculator based on the figures and the information provided by Ms Rayner.
'That's what we used and it told us we had to pay £30,000 based on the information provided to us. We believe that we did everything correctly and in good faith. Everything was exactly as it should be.'
She told the Telegraph: 'We probably are being made scapegoats for all this and I have got the arrows stuck in my back to show it. We are not an inexperienced firm, but we're not qualified to give advice on trust and tax matters and we advise clients to seek expert advice on these.
If she received “specialist tax advice” then she hasn’t a problem, produce the paperwork and take them to court as she did the NHS…in the meantime pay the £40 thou owed. Sorted
