No one is arguing that immigration has not been good for this country, unfortunately it hasn't been controlled, and now, thanks to the thousands of asylum seekers here, it's totally out of control. My point was people are often treated differently, and if you live in the real world and keep your eyes open, it's glaringly obvious.
Another personal example, my OH could not get a NHS dentist, when he needed an emergency extraction he was given a one-off visit to a dentist miles away, it was impossible for him to be enrolled at a local surgery, they were all full. He has never claimed one penny off the government all his working life, but instead of getting the treatment he has helped to fund for 50 years, he has had to pay privately to get treatment.
Around the same time this was happening, an interpreter was booking in an immigrant family to enrol at the same dentist I attend, and where my husband was refused.
Am I racist or a raging right-winger for pointing this out? According to some, probably.
You're not racist Syl, you are right! Too many are eating up our resources, and the old cry you're racist as worn very thin. It's a tool to shut people up, not working anymore. Nothing racist about wanting our country back!
"I'm not racist, but..."
You may not be racist, you are certainly thick.

Kids as young as six are taking knoves to school.
How can a six year old get out of the house carrying a knife?
Today's feral kids are tomorrow's feral adults....Broken Britain? and the future is looking grim too.

Your take on it is that you are simply pointing out facts, and that there's nothing racist in that. But when you have a person or group of people continually highlighting issues about immigrant families, even to the extent of demanding 'our country' back, then one has to question the motive behind it.

It depends on the context of the conversation. If the subject is about housing, schooling, NHS services etc, and someone has a valid point to make, it's simply point scoring and actually pointless to shout 'racist'
A bit like the F word, it holds no power anymore, it's been used to death, especially on forums.
I agree that putting all immigrants in the same boat (no pun) and demanding we 'want our country back' isn't really getting to the heart, but then I don't see it like that, because I am not in the shoes of the people who say that.
I do point out that (loads of times on forums) that without immigrants, first, second or third generation, we would probably die first before we ever got to see a hospital medic.

A total of 973 migrants in 17 boats crossed the English Channel yesterday - the highest daily number this year.
It comes as French authorities said four people died while attempting to cross the Channel on Saturday - including a two-year-old boy who was "trampled to death.
Young, fit men fighting to get here illegally, so determined that they trample a baby to death. Three others were also found dead on another overcrowded boat, crushed and suffocated. A tragedy, both for them and for this country too.
Starmer had better hurry up and bring in assisted dying and euthanasia for the old....that's if they haven't frozen to death first.

How about that migrant who orally raped that poor girl to death on a park bench? What kind of degenerate does that? We don't know what the fuck we're letting in.

We never have. Fighting men in place when it kicks off with Iran, degenerates, murderers. No one is running from anything, they love the benefits here. The government must get a grip with this instead of welcoming them. Deport them and put our soldiers and regular homeless in the warm hotels!

A chaotic immigration system doesn't really help anyone.
You have people drowning and we have them dying of exposure from heat..
Not to mention the people that transport these migrants abuse and exploit them.
Encouraging these people could be more deadly than just flying them home.

That's the point, allowing them to stay, providing food, board, benefits and medical services, is encouraging more to come...and more and more are coming.
Some are obviously desperate, but many, especially the younger men who are filling the boats, are not fleeing for their lives, they are economic migrants, or men who have family here and can often disappear, or God knows who, who have no respect for the country or the people who live here.

Anons seem to serve a useful purpose, they keep things going, and provide another outlet other than Meghan Markle or immigrants for regular members to have a go at. I wouldn't knock them too much, and after all without them what would be the point in having a public section?

In an ideal world, a public section would be a place where none members could discuss, with a modicum of sense and self awareness, topics of interest.
As it is, the majority (not all) of the Anons, who post in Whine, do nothing but.

What a fucking idiot this man is.
"In the latest confirmation of George Orwell's prescient genius, Sir Keir Starmer yesterday gave us a masterclass in duplicitous doublethink.
The Prime Minister, who once failed to state unequivocally what was meant by a 'woman', is now struggling with another two-syllable noun: 'worker'.
In an interview, the PM said he defined a working person as someone who is 'anxious about whether they can make ends meet'.
A worker should only be able to 'maybe save a bit of money', he emphasised.
Someone would be considered a worker if they 'don't have the wherewithal to write a cheque to get out of difficulty' and also have an 'anxiety in the bottom of their stomach' about money, he went on.
In other words, a worker is only someone who is living almost hand-to-mouth and is in the lowest economic bands."
So if you are a 'worker', but manage your money well, save, maybe buy investments and insurances for when you don't work so you can have a comfortable retirement, in that idiot's opinion, you are not a worker??

We were taught to save so we would have a nest egg when older. Buy a house. Now we are not classed as working class because we don't live on benefits!

A lot of working class and elderly people will be much worse off under this Labour government.
They should change their name, they bear no resemblance to the Labour Party most of us older generation recognise.
