I do bench presses all the time. I mocked Mamdani on his inability to bench some light amount like 130 pounds..
What's that saying the French have about the cockerel crowing on top of his own dung heap?

Does that translate into "Mamdani can't lift more than a 14 year old girl"?

😂 Nope. That would be …
Mamdani ne peut pas soulever plus d’une fille de 14 ans.

I'll try to remember that. 😉

Thanks for the tip Syl - I missed it first time around, so will now also catch up. I will have to overcome my phobia of Russell Tovey's ears though - they always distract me from anything that he's in!
I'm also enjoying Billy Bob in Landman - the whole cast is very good in fact, and his relationship with his wife and daughter works well. "I'll tell you why this plane ain't gonna crash - cos I ain't that fuckin lucky"

I tried watching it for a few episodes but found it predictable and boring.

Landman has become cliche and stereotypical, but I still find it entertaining.
And the stereotypes, while a bit of an exaggeration are based on the reality of the business in this area..
Its also difficult for us here in Fort Worth, because a lot of the scenes that take place in Midland, are actually shot here in Fort Worth..
The Patch, Rick's (topless club), and the house they live in are all right here..

The Texan lifestyle is alien to me so the cliched stuff doesn't register.
My knowledge of Texas is limited to cowboy hats and the Houston Texans NFL team
There used to be several Texan jokes going around, whereby a Texan would boast about everything in Texas being bigger than anywhere else. I can't remember if the jokes were clean or dirtry, or what any of the punchlines were though!

Never ask a man if he's a Texan..If he is he'll tell you. If he isn't, there's no need embarrassing him..😉

Lol...I had to look up who he was, I agree his ears are rather unusual. He isn't one of he main characters though, so not too distracting.
The 2nd series, which I am halfway through, is as good as the first. It was actually made 10 years after the original, and Tom Hiddleston hasn't half aged, but he would probably say the same about us.

I read about the 10 year gap, quite unusual for a TV series.
Tovey hasn't got any earlobes - his ears look like have been grafted on from a chimpanze - It doesn't help that he's got a face like a little monkey anyway!
Brilliant show!! But then, Billy Bob is fabulous in pretty much everything he stars in.
He played an amazing ‘bad guy’ in Fargo Season 1! Which is why I’ve watched that 3 times over the years.

Superb first season. Finding it hard to get into Season 2 though, but that’s cos my head’s been a bit frazzled these days…
Whenever I finally get a chance to veg out on the couch for a while, I’ve really gotten into Law & Order UK. I used to only ever recall Bradley Walsh as a game show host. I didn’t realise he’s such a good actor too!

Though I have really got into the 2nd series of Night Manager, I don't find watching Tom Hiddleston as appealing to watch now he has aged....shallow I know.
I haven't watched Law and Order, but I remember watching Bradley Walsh in Coronation Street, he was a main character in it around 20 years ago, and he was really good in it, possibly better than some of them that have been in it from the start.

@ Syl…I only stumbled across the UK version recently, after watching all the American Law & Order seasons over the years.
I‘d say it’s every bit as good as the US versions. If anything, it’s much more compelling and ‘real’ than the more glitzy US productions.
I think you’d enjoy it. I’ve been up until all hours binge-watching it 😂

He was gorgeously sexy in Crimson Peak
