It was for Maw and Paw's anniversary so I decided to go to Tesco and buy one, I did toy with the idea of getting next day delivery but was worried the cake wouldn't be available.
So off I went...
Got the came and some grub and some bits and pieces and as I was getting a taxi home, it wasn't a problem how much I got.
However!!
The bloody taxi didn't turn up and in desperation I asked this man outside the supermarket if he would phone me a taxi and he said no.
So I had to stagger all the way over to the main street carrying four heavy bags and a bloody big box of crisps.
My arms didn't stop shaking for two hours when I got home!!
🙄
Oh that's rotten. Wouldn't of hurt him to ring a cab fgs!
You're a good daughter always thinking of your mum and dad x

Bloody hell Vita, I can't believe how mean some people are...miserable get.
Anyway, like Mags said, you are a brilliant daughter, your mum and dad are lucky...and I hope they had a lovely Diamond wedding celebration. x

The only downside was the folk, not very friendly Edinbuggers.
Think they're better than us cause they've got a castle.
Fur-coat and no drawers most of them!!

The next door but one neighbour has bought a pup...it looks around 4 months old. Unfortunately she leaves it in the garden for ages, and it yap, yap, yaps none stop. it's making the long awaited sitting out and preparing our own garden for the summer....anything but peaceful.

There's a yapper over the back, too far away, even though we can hear it.
It must drive their neighbours mad though!

Get yourself one of those high pitched dog whistles. Can’t recommend a particular make as it’s been many years since I had to use one out of desperation - neighbour thought her “baby” constantly yapping every minute of the day and night was a treat for us all.

The council have introduced in a bin tax!!
You've got to buy a £40 permit if you want your garden bin emptied.
It's also been announced we're second in Scotland's Rat league and are overrun with the wee gits.
I have been told that I won't get any in the garden or near the house because Shorty is a Ratter.
It was the aforementioned Westies birthday on Tuesday, she was seven.
Did you know you can get dog birthday bunting?

I had a Scottie years ago, no rats as he was a ratter too. They're the best dogs for those horrible rodents.

If it doesn't stop, I may well do that. It's not been as bad the last few days, probably because the kids are off school and the mum has been home with them.
It's actually a lovely dog, hopefully it'll grow out of the yapping.

Another day of wall to wall sunshine.
North Wales is packed with tourists and one affect of this is road kill numbers are always up.
In a round trip of 25 miles I came across three dead foxes and three squashed badgers!

Insomnia is horrible.
Went to bed at 2, read till 3, got up three times in the night for a wee, wide awake at 6ish...but stayed in bed till around 9.30, just putting the world to rights in my head.
I seldom feel tired in the day, so I am lucky in that respect.

Is that normal for you Syl? I started having to get up once per night and found that that was disruptive enough so cut back on cuppas as the day went on and it’s helped.

I have always had to get up in the night, so it is normal for me.
Had loads of tests over the years, and no cause has been found. I am used to it.

I have insomnia aswell. Like you Syl I'm up a couple times at night but i do drink lots of water, even take bottle to bed. I've had insomnia since a teen.
Annoying, but so used to it after all these years.

Yep, it's just part of life.
I remember even when I was a kid and had sleepovers, I was the one who was always getting on the other kids nerves because they wanted to sleep and I was wide awake and wanting to talk.
Luckily I eventually married a man who can get to sleep and stay asleep in spite of my nocturnal ramblings.
