I caught my ex husband putting the toilet brush in the dishwasher one day. I nearly had a bloody fit!

OMG.
I have never owned a toilet brush in my life...filthy articles.
Rubber gloves, disposable cloths and disinfectant....job done.

Pause for thought....be very careful when handling prickly cactus.
I inadvertently touched one today with very fine hairs...some stuck in my thumb, they really stung, but were too fine to pull out. So I sucked them out.
My tongue came up in small red blisters, for a bit I thought I might be having an allergic reaction, luckily, the tingling has now stopped and the blisters are fading.
There is a moral to this tale...leave cacti alone, (it's the second time this has happened to me) and if you can't, don't try to suck the needles out of your thumb.

Very well dressed.
People are far more casual nowadays, especially the women.
Real fur, thankfully, isn't worn as the norm anymore.

I love watching this old footage. Amazingly restored. And to think all those clothes were made from natural fabrics, all wool and cotton or silk.
Here is some even earlier stuff.

None of them looked or dressed like Lizzo, that's for sure.

Imagine what these folks would think about our technology?
Many of them probably never saw an airplane.
I look at these photos and wonder what their life was like. I almost feel like a voyeur at times studying them..

When I watch stuff like this it makes me think how at the end of the day our lives just vanish from view.
The people in these films were very real flesh and blood people with children with pain and joy and laughter and worry and stress.
What dreams they had what hopes what let downs what struggles.
Success and despair tears illness hard work building digging painting planning for the future.
Well their futures came and went and now they are just images on a screen unknown to the living.

It's beautiful the way those images have been enhanced, almost as if those people have been brought back to life for a few seconds, before they fade back into the still life photo.
I find it really touching.
I remember when JD put up a pic of Mona Lisa, which had been digitally brought to life, that plain face became animated, and she looked really lovely.

I love these too. I go on YouTube and they bring face paintings, images from history back to life. Love it.
