It's not a parody, he is an etiquette 'expert', he pops up on radio and some TV shows, telling people how to correctly eat peas, hold cutlery, what wines to order...etc.
He's annoying.
Who eats a banana like that?
He is very annoying, quite pompous, but that's just the way he is.
in the spirit of my local vernacular, he has a kind face.

I've seen bananas eaten this way. It's called etiquette. If you eat a banana at a posh do, that's the way you do it, not peeling it and eating it like a chimpanzee.

If it's a posh do, you shouldn't be serving bananas like that. They should already be peeled and cut into pieces, like any other fruit.

I would be a bit pissed off if a bloody banana was ever served to me as a food course.....posh do or not.

One of the downsides of the heat, got up this morning, opened the curtains, one of the big bay windows at the front of the house is shattered. It's the inside of the double glazing, we have put tarpaulin over it just in case the glass falls...it's still crackling....quite scary . It can only be the heat, as that window gets full sun for hours.
Typically it's Sunday, so we can't get in touch with the glaziers who installed the window till tomorrow, hopefully we are covered.
Aww…that’s a bummer, Syl.
I didn’t realise the UK could reach soaring temperatures to levels that can shatter glass!
It's been unusually hot so far this summer Vam...this is the third heatwave we have had.
A heatwave here is measured by if we get 3 consecutive days reaching a certain temp...I think in Manchester it's 28c.
I actually think for the morning sun to shatter a double glazing unit is pretty unusual.
Hope you get that fixed Syl, I can imagine the glass insidiously crackling being quite frightening We are not supposed to have hot summers like this, Wimbledon used to always be a luke warm down pour and our weather in general a global joke. Now we are beating Tenerife!
Of course Trump doesn't believe in Global Warming so he will tell the King how fortunate we are to have such bizarre tropical temperatures on the state visit King Charles will have to nod along not saying a word in case Trump puts up our tariffs
Bring on Winter I say!

Apparently, it's not covered by the guarantee. Hopefully it'll be fixed tomorrow.
So that's the cooker, the car and the bay window, all broke within a few weeks....well they do say things go wrong in three's, so hopefully that's it for a while.

Oops… I didn’t realise your new cooker broke down, Syl. You’ve only just bought it!

No, it was the old one Vam....I am still moaning about that one.
Anyway, man came to fix the window. I knew the guarantee wouldn't include shattered glass, (not sure why, but there you go) I had also looked online, very few people had had the same thing happen, but all said the same.
Man came and fitted a new unit, it took him 20 mins, and as a goodwill gesture (local firm we have used twice) he only charged us £30...so I am very happy.

So that’s your ‘3’ all checked off, then. And your new knee is now officially no longer an interloper - it’s a part of you. Enjoy! 😎

@Syl First thing I saw when I logged in this morning. And it gave me my first smile of the day
There’s an iconic Federico Fellini black & white movie from the 60s - La Dolce Vita (The Sweet/Good Life) - that pic kinda reminds me of a scene from that movie. And you’re Anita Ekberg! 😂

So next time you’re both out cruisin‘ in your cabrio, just call him Marcello 😎😎 …. (pronounced March-ello, btw 😉)
My Mamma used to practically dissolve into a loose-limbed mess at the sight of Marcello Mastroianni - so embarrassing! 🤦🏻♀️

Haha....every time I think of him, I think of the scene of him in a different film, howling on the bed like a wolf, whilst Sophia Loren sensually takes her clothes off.
Off to find the clip......
