I think, for me, Yankee dying, was the first time I felt sad that someone I only knew from forum land, had passed away.
Back in the day, Yankee, DT, June, Mags and me, modded on Micky's forum...and believe it or not, it was that busy multiple mods were needed.
Yankee did the night shifts, June took a low profile, DT was usually out when trouble started, Micky was often the one who started the trouble in the first place, and Mags and I did most of the modding.
Mags was always a lot more patient than I was, and she stuck it for a lot longer too.
Fun times though.
Did you have some humdingers in the mods room? Go on, spill.
Had any on here?
No, never. Me and Syl get on very well and agree on most points.
There is a whole thread in the sekrit bit about you though.

You must be knocking on a bit now having slapped the Krays about in the 60's!

Ronnie and Reggie were sent down in 1965 was it?
S.F must be in his eighties.
It was one of the cousins I had a dance with up Bethnal Green in the 70s.
Give me a ring in a field made out of a few bales of straw and I’ll still have a decent dance with anyone if they’re up for it. Surrounded by jeering travellers normally.
You like a dance then? I don't like dancing
I'm mentally scarred from being forced to do Scottish dancing at School.
The Gay Gordon's and the Highland Fling etc.

Ahhh...BD, he was ill years ago wasn't he, sad, I wonder what happened to his dogs?
Also Letitbe...she adored her dogs. I do know they were taken care of after she died, I think it was her sister who took them.
Also DT 7 yrs ago and Abs last year. Miss them both.
Did Abs go? How sad.
Yes, she let.me know she was dying, I was very upset. I didn't put.it out because it was private. I have now time because time has elapsed, and some would like to know.
That's so sad Mags.
Abs did the best quizzes on Fens forum, she had the patience of a saint, bless her.

The Gay Gordon's and the Highland Fling etc.
The Gay Gordon's I used to do that dance when I was a kid.
Dashing White Sergeant, that was another one.
Us all prancing about like fools.
"The Slosh" every Scottish wedding has that dance, usually to 'Beautiful Sunday"
Do you do that dance down south?
