Had an appointment for a utility inspection booked. I was feeling unwell and was bed-bound, I had hung on hoping to improve but the day before the appt I phoned and informed them I was worried I wouldn’t be able to give them access and be up and about during their visit. Not a problem appt cancelled and a new one made for a later date.
The next morning, a knock on the door, still couldn’t get out of bed, appt had been cancelled so wasn’t expecting anyone only for phone to ring, couldn’t get up to answer phone so let it go to answering machine. Another few knocks on the door a short while later, still couldn’t get up to answer. Heard the letterbox clang. Phone went again, another message left.
Desperate for the bathroom I struggled, really struggled to leave my bed. On all 4s I made it to the bathroom, pulling my phone down on the way. Another knock on the door whilst in the bathroom. Couldn’t get up to look through door peephole. Another knock on the door whilst struggling back to my bed, back to all 4s I eventually opened the front door whilst on my knees to catch the inspector pushing another note through the letterbox. I explained the appt had been cancelled but now that I was able to let him in he may as well do his inspection only to then be told that he had just cancelled the appt (hence the 2nd note) and to make another one.
I later listened to phone messages, “utility inspector has tried to gain access”. I phoned the utility place and they didn’t know about my cancellation the day before (although they confirmed it was the same appt department).
The parting ”enjoy the rest of your day” did nothing to lighten my mood.
You know what, that's so bloody frustrating. Why can't they ever talk to eachother and get their act together!
Hope you're feeling better. I'm stuck in bed today too 😞
Three utility people involved and none knowing what each was doing. Madness.
Thanks, I’m still stuck in bed but things seem to be improving, slowly. Sorry to hear you’re not well also, it’s a bugger isn’t it. Hope you’re back on your feet soon. x

I reduced them to 60%.
Guess I should have gone to 40%.

That's horrible, so many company departments don't seem to communicate with one another, very annoying and frustrating for the customer.
Hopefully you will feel better soon. If you are alone it must be rotten when you feel so ill.

I'm fine.
She was 70, no insurance and shaking like a leaf..
Luckily I carry what is called uninsured motorist coverage for shit like this.
Since her car is likely totaled, without insurance, she had a much worse day than me.
I was mad for about a minute, then I just got irritated..Dealing with tow trucks, insurance companies and car rental places..
My truck is paid for and I really don't want to buy another right now..Hopefully the insurance company will repair it and not total it..

Your truck’s looking seriously battered. Poor lady too, though. At least no one was hurt, thank goodness.
How are you getting around? Loaner?

They should pay me to drive it.
I don't mind the Mazda part, but those plates are going to get me in trouble. I wish there was a bumper sticker that said "Not my car, it's a rental "..

Stupid bint, rather than pay a few hundred £££ on insurance she’s not got to possibly pay thousands for a new vehicle.

I'm not really irritated but sort of amused..
This is the choice for the Super Bowl half time show. 🤷
We have had Prince, The Who, Paul McCartney and other huge stars..
Now, before about a week ago I didn't know how big Bad Bunny was because like most Americans I tend to listen to people who sing primarily in English.
Bad Bunny is huge globally in Spanish speaking countries..
It's not the worse idea in the world. There are millions of people living in South and Central America that would never think of watching the Super Bowl, who might now.
Of course you know who isn't real pleased about our half time show being done in Spanish..
