They could, but then they wouldn't get to dance with me..😉
While pretty girls will do that dance, I've always called that the fat girl dance (mean, I know). It used to be the only time some girls could dance..
Of course now, the younger girls will partner dance with each other if they don't have a date, or no men ask them.
Thankfully there was none of that line dance nonsense last night, lol..

We never needed a man to dance with, the places I used to go to you could dance with your mates, even get up on your own if the music took you....no men required, which is sometimes a good thing.
Now and again we would let the good-looking ones have the last dance, (this was pre husband days obviously)
As for line dancing, personally I hate it. I have no sense of direction, and the odd time I have been roped in (usually on holiday) I turn left instead of right, use the wrong foot to kick, and generally make a right mess of everything.

If you were to pop into a country bar in Fort Worth, this is what you would see..
A little less aerials as the floor got more crowded.
And you damn sure better have a girl that has done this a time or twenty, or you'll break your back or both hit the ground..
Ask me how I know..😉

That looks like fun.
The older couple stole the show for their humour, but the black chap and the girl in red should take the prize, if for nothing else, her faith in the fact he was strong enough not to drop her.

Yeah, and don't forget most of those folks are drinking..
Your judgment and balance can be slightly "compromised".
One of the cool things about a lot of these places is the wide range of ages. It's not like the "club" where I'd look pretty dumb at my age.
Not that I'm opposed to dancing with a 20 something hottie, but it's nice to chat and dance with people a bit older, and hope I don't throw my back out. 😉

There are good reasons the sexes should gravitate towards their own age groups and not one's decades younger, the back being one of them.

Prior to me spending entirely too much on bourbon last night, I went for a nice hike near where I live. It's been too damn hot for that nonsense since about June..

Junior members of football supporters clubs are entered into a draw to be club mascot and when The Little's 11 year old was picked to be mascot for Motherwell they were delighted and rumbled because....
It is. Thursday I'll be with the lovely and vivacious Melissa..
Saturday I may take my granddaughter or the whole family might go. They fly back from Mexico on Friday and may need to rest up on Saturday. Pops can take the 3 year old off their hands. And possibly enlist the aid of the aforementioned pretty thing. 😉

England beat the Republic of Ireland at the weekend.
I believe there was a few punch ups, anyway what was amusing was the fans taunting each other with Rangers and Celtic flags.
Rangers being loyal to the King and Crown and Celtic, well...
