I'm still trying to work out what Nigel Farage has got to do with the synagogue attack
Nothing, directly. But the establishment and right wing media igniting hatred between races won't have helped. It has created a prejudiced society. I'm sure however it was a planned attack.
Farage is a racist and if you agree with his policies them you are xenophobic at best. You saw nothing wrong with a policy that kicked people out of Britain who considered themselves British, who worked and paid taxes here all their life just because they happened to be born in another country. You are totally ignorant of what would happen to our NHS or care homes of that policy ever occurred. Thankfully it's highly unlikely it will.
As to today's heart breaking events the Jewish community have tried to express fears about rising anti-Semitism in the UK only to be ignored.
These are the sort of declarations that make you look like a damn fool..
Who put you in charge of labeling people?.

Farage 's policies are transparently bigoted and even Syl has agreed Reform would appeal to racists. . Even our wet lettuce of a PM has said Reform holds racist immoral policies.
Do you even KNOW his policies? You thought Charlie Kirk 's views were standard Christian views and I can assure you, they were not.
And they could appeal to non racists too..
And you can't assure me of anything but more inaccurate hyperbole..
I didn't realize this was already posted on another thread.
I'm always torn about this type of uncensored stuff that the mainstream media won't show.
Does the violence makes us want to do something to address it, or desensitize us to violence?
Probably depends on the person watching it..
The people who get desensitized will be that way no matter what they see or watch. In a world where we allow our children to view porn and extreme violence in movies and computer games it's a bit rich throwing up hands in horror at this abomination. When atrocities are dragged into the light of day, they can't be ignored as easily as some euphemistic cut version.
There are always going to be different types of people. The ones who are inwardly empathic and spiritual, perhaps not angels but inherently good and decent, and then the ones who embrace their baser nature and are cruel and selfish or the ones who fall between. Good people can do bad things. it takes a lot of inner strength and guts not to run with the herd.
You're probably right which is why I posted my last sentence..

Right wing?? It was nutty Starmer screaming about Farage, nothing about what he is going to do with bills, housing etc. He was trying to get division from lefties to have a go at Farage and anyone who disagrees with him.
Farage is not a racist, nor are the people who want their country back! They're not called racist in France, Spain, Italy and other countries, why us.
Starmer is racist to pander to illegals and not care about the Brits who were born and bred here. Sooner he goes the better!
.I notice you ignored Avon's post to you Mags. He is very rarely addressed because he puts things in such an articulate way that can't be argued with.
Farage has been insulting Starmer all.year but you don't have a problem.with that. Starmer feels he has to address immigration more than other more important matters because that's all that is ever discussed these days and it's all he's questioned about interviewed . Personally I agree with you, he shouldn't bother mentioning Farage. He has nothing to do with the real world of politics. How many seats do Reform have?
Starmer does care about Brits, more than you know. But just like with Brexit a demographic of people won't be reasoned with even though it would be patently disastrous to actually vote an extreme far right party into Government. Most of the party wouldn't know how to fulfil their roles as MP's. Benefits would be reduced for all, even those who need and deserve it. Farage only cares about money and once in power, like Trump, the mask would slip and everything that followed would be quite frightening for the more vulnerable in society, including those in low income. I doubt he advocates PIP for example.

Maybe not Syl but at this particular moment in time the establishment is using the media to cause tension between races and I can't help but feel it will embolden people who have prejudices to carry out acts of political violence like the terrible events today.
Every time you turn on the television people are discussing immigrants. What happened to discussing the NHS. The cost of living, checking the conditions of care homes to see our elderly are well looked after. ..nobody cares about anything else anymore.
t saddens me because the establishment is inciting racial violence with its abusive rhetoric and I fear we can expect to see killings of this nature increase. Ten years ago you couldn't talk.about poc the way others openly do now. People used to fear being called a racist..now people fear calling other people racist.
There has always been anti Semitic views held by prejudiced people but I think a murder occurred at this particular time because the current media discourse is one of racial resentment division and loathing and demonizing the "other", any other. I fear this will just be the start.
Jewish people have lived here in peace for decades.
My mum used to live in Crumpsall, I have nephews who go to school around that area, there has never been security needed.... not till the Hamas attack happened in 2023, and the response from Israel.
That is when hatred for jews started, and it spilled over here, where people were chanting for the death of all Jews.
Should the wars not be reported, should people not know what's going on around the world? These events have nothing to do with small minded people spouting rubbish at a Tommy Robinson rally.
I have conceded that twice now. But there has been growing anti-Semitism in Britain recently , just as the far right press and the dialogue of the devaluation of immigrants as people have created a more hostile bigoted society.
And you can easily call racists wanting to kill black.People "rubbish" because it doesn't affect you. I think some POC would feel quite upset viewing that video. Trying to dismiss outright racism due to the source doesn't work. We are very privileged not to know how it feels to be hated for the colour of our skin.
I didn't mean to offend anyone but many people feel.Farage and his party are bigoted, commentators in the public eye have said he is a very transparent racist and I am allowed to hold the same opinion, just as everyone is allowed their own political beliefs.

I would say a significant proportion of Reform voters are racist but the people who.want change but don't necessarily agree with everything Farage says are not prejudiced. They are just frustrated and see no other option. But there is four years to go and that thankfully is a long time ago.

You seem to have conveniently left out the fact that white people, particularly white males, have suffered bigotry and hatred just as much in recent years.
What is happening right now isn't so much about 'hatred' or 'racism'. it's about human nature. This is what happens when society loosens the reins, when things like manners, compassion and respect are allowed to slip; little things that might not seem much but form the bedrock of society and how we interact with each other. This is isn't about a few bad apples. This is about a complete breakdown of humanity. We are literally in danger of going down a rabbit-hole of Neanderthal behaviour, devolving into tribality. Civilised society as we know it is a fragile veneer. If you crack it, it splits apart. The cracks are widening. We see it every single day, yawning wider and wider. From the morons who filmed a dying Iryna Zarutskan to the hive mind of TikTokers to the narcissism of influencers to the two tier policing and so on and so forth on and on ad nauseum.
We need to take a leaf out of Japan's book. Children in Japan are taught morals and character development in school, with moral education being a formal part of the curriculum from elementary school. This includes explicit lessons in values like respect, kindness, and responsibility.
Japan has strict immigration rules.
Japan is in a terrible state. Nobody is getting married anymore and there are even shut in's who isolate themselves from the world because they are no future. Many youngsters have depression citing the pressure of their parents to achieve academic success is too much to endure. I would love to.visit Japan but their culture of staying with one company and them looking after you and promoting you is sadly dying out. So there is currently trouble retaining employment in the country.
But I digress. I don't think white men could even imagine, not even comprehend the loathing , cruelty and disdain directed at POC and other ethnicities today. Not even close.
I feel the reason some people are citing racist or xenophobic views is because they hold them and since there is a backlash against political correctness or "wokeism" they feel. amongst friends airing those views. There was a time people could never speak the way they do.now openly about immigrants but I felt a change creeping in about 5 years ago. It's the same with misogyny, the Manosphere has made it fashionable for men to have podcasts insulting women all day and getting revenue from it.

What post I never saw it. So no I didn't ignore it, I will go back and find it now.

Ah, Rupert Lowe, Elon Musk's favourite member of Reform. Lowe also likes far right avtivist Tommy Robinson whilst Farage "didn't consider him suitable for the Reform Party" I agree with Lowe, Tommy would fit right in.
Shame he isn't behaving himself at Reform though-
On 7 March 2025, it was announced that Lowe had been reported to the police by Reform UK after its chairman, the businessman Zia Yusuf, alleged Lowe made verbal threats against him three months and a month previously, in December 2024 and in February 2025 respectively.
[60]] In a January 2020 speech in the European Parliament, he cast doubt on the validity of man-made climate change, calling it a "cult" which "marches on with no definitive evidence to support or deny the factual accuracy of [climate scientists'] assertions
So he doesn't believe in climate change (would get on with Trump at least) and threatens people in his own party a bit.
What else do you like about him Anon?

He listens. He donates his MP salary. He supports UK farmers. He is against UK ID cards. He’s pushing as to the grooming gang investigations. He doesn’t want illegals here, given benefits, he wants housing to go to UK nationals, if immigrants can’t/don’t support themselves he wants them out.. He is for retaining the culture and traditions of this country. He wants foreign aid not handed out will-nilly. He wants to ban the burqua and sharia law/courts in the UK. He wants Halal/Kosher methods of slaughter banned in the UK. He recognises 2 genders only…
i could go on.
Plenty there that I agree on?
Oh I'm sure you agree with an MP who was put under investigation.
Most people support UK farmers. Everyone is against I.D cards. There is no sharia law here! It is not his choice to "ban" the Burka.
And then immigrants , benefits, immigrants. Do you know they get free flat screen tele 's aswell? No access to.Sky though, just Freeview. There has got to be limits.
Rupert Lowe still gets my vote. 0/10 but thanks for trying.

What was only a matter of time? A terrorist attack or the race war that some people seem intent on agitating for arriving?
I didn't see this and was accused of ignoring you. I don't do that.
The killing of jews which Starmer hasn't helped by backing Palestine. I've nothing against them, but this was always going to.happen.
So much hate since Starmer been PM.

They are all problematic.

Do that enough and you see events like what happened in Manchester today..
And they could appeal to non racists too..
And you can't assure me of anything but more inaccurate hyperbole..
You're probably right which is why I posted my last sentence..
The classic 'triangulation' ploy.
Sadly I can't split it but it's the way of debate to go a bit off piste

Yep, I did say the racists will vote for Reform, of course they will.
So will the millions of none racists who see the country going from bad to worse and want a change.
In recent history we have had just two parties alternating being in government...not surprising millions will vote in a new contender when they get the chance.
(Unless Andy manages to oust Starmer, which is my hope)
Do you not think that the growing anti semitism has everything to do with the Hamas attack and repercussions rather than anything that's gone on in this country?
It is my hope too!
I'm.not sure why you are using
because you held that view quite openly ..?
.I do agree with Red (yes I said that !) that it's not feasible to call Reform 's policies racist but to disagree that the person who made the aforementioned policies is also racist. Starmer felt he had to decline but I wish he had gone further and admitted he felt Farage and a proportion of their voters are racist because that's most likely to be the truth.
I would say a significant proportion of Reform voters are racist but the people who.want change but don't necessarily agree with everything Farage says are not prejudiced. They are just frustrated and see no other option. But there is four years to go and that thankfully is a long time ago.
And this is why I loathe the labeling of people that vote for problematic candidates..

And this, of course, is not hateful or racist....

I used the

Anyway, I have said my piece now, so off for a bit of R&R after being stuck in all day whilst a plumber has been banging and clattering away upstairs...only to have to return tomorrow.
My father was a gentle soul. My mother often says he wouldn't cope if he was still alive today, the malice and hatred would be too much. He wouldn't understand it. As much as I miss him I'm glad he's not here to witness it.
Try telling that to the loved ones of Kriss Donald, or the thousands of young white children raped and murdered by 'people of colour' grooming gangs.
The world is a shitty place for some people, we know that.
Fuck me you're a hyperbolic drama queen..
BTW, are you a POC or a white man?
