With me I'm always fighting a monster or running away from things that scare me so wake me up.

I don't understand it but it always happens when not being able to get to sleep and finally do for a couple of hours or so

then wide awake again in the middle of the night????

You are afraid of facing up to something in real life and its manifesting itself in your dreams as a monster.

Either that or you have eaten too much cheese near bedtime.
