Too many grey days in a row. Fed up with the cold. Even though winters got a sort of melancholy beauty I want to see some greenery and colour. This final stretch is always the hardest.

I disagree, I always find Winter to be the most beautiful months of the year (not that we have any decent Winters here anymore sadly) - Spring has always been false hope and lies of what is to come.

I love it when you get that aroma of fresh cut grass, a bit of warmth on the breeze and seeing the blossom bud

With respect you really should work on changing your outlook on life JD.
Spring is a renewal of life, not only in nature but in yourself. It's a hopeful time of year, the hope that things will be better, the sun will shine, when life is growing all around you try to absorb some of that freshness.
Often just thinking good thoughts solves, or at least helps with some of lifes hard knocks....which we all suffer from.
Sermon over.

I suspect, as individuals we are often more attuned to certain seasons than others. I can see the value in all the seasons but if they go on too long...Probably why I couldn't live in a hot climate. Nothing worse than knowing you're waking up to sunshine everyday. Although these days the seasons seem a lot fuzzier here in the UK.

Winter makes me depressed and the dark wintery nights are endless.
I am very happy when the light nights come

Winter definitely is not my season of choice, I hate the cold, the dark dreary days seem to go on for ever, and the rain makes my hair frizz.
What's to like about any of that?

Well roaring log fires, the woodland looking like brush wood and those gorgeous pastel winter skys we get on brighter days. But not to everyones taste.

Haha, too right Syl.... whenever I curl my hair, as soon as I step outside into wind, rain or even just damp air it’s dropped out ... waste of time .... I do love those dry, frosty, sunny days... but we don’t get enough of them unfortunately!.... roll on spring, daffodils and summer!

Hey Poca
I don't even like the dry frosty summer days, they usually come with a freezing temperature. I like snow though, it's beautiful and if there are any kids around you can have lots of fun in the snow.
Apart from that.....bring on Spring.

It can sure be very individualistic. For example many hay fever sufferers may not be a great fan of Spring and Summer for that reason alone.

The smell of freshly cut grass is actually a chemical distress scream to warn it's neighbours of impending danger!

Those cut grasses are a bunch of whiners. That is why I prefer the smell of napalm in the morning.
