Worried more than usual because of this plague? Will you be going out once the restrictions are lifted and will you wear a mask? Are you or your family those people that are deemed high risk and if so will you return to work? In cities, workers don't often have the choice to take their car to work and therefore use public transport. If that is the case and your type of work can be completed from home, will your employer be in favour of this? Don't forget that the employer can demand you come to work. My OH is in the high risk group and has been advised that a return to work once the bans are lifted... We are currently not living/working in the UK but may return because of this.

I think this will affect us the rest of out lives to some degree.
My mom was born in 1931. Her mom was born 1895. She would have been early 20's during the Spanish Flu. My mom is a germaphobe and I bet that was learned from her mom who likely lost friends and family 1918 -1920.

It's bound to have a knock on effect, and when over 15 million people world wide are killed by a virus that came back 2 more times in the space of a year.....it's not surprising that many people brought their families up with a fear of catching killer germs.

I will go out to work but I too need my hair doing and damn toothache but a big but, there will be no social distancing with the hair girl or the dentist. I won't feel safe until there is a vaccine and treatment.

Millions of people worldwide wont have much to spend when all this is over.
In the UK many people are suffering financially, even though this government has done what it can to ease the burden, think of the countries where the governments are not so generous.
There will be a lot of poverty around long after this bloody plague has diminished.

The EU wanted to be generous with ventilators for countries who need them but the UK said "no thanks! " even though the NHS is desperately in need. The Government assure the outraged families that their choice is in no way political.
For once, they are being honest. Politics? Who cares! Human life? Not a priority! Boris has his good friend Mr Dyson looking after the making of ventilators so those seriously ill patients can just sit tight and wait while the elite profits from a pandemic.
Like the leaked Government email said you win some (lucrative contracts), you lose some (elderly people).

It is sunny outside and I will sit on the balcony and listen to Radio 2 or a local station and take my mind of this. Papers were saying the over 60's may be asked to stay in. They keep on saying they are "following the science." If they were we'd have about the same number of deaths for C19 but 300% up at the very least. The fall guys will be thrown under the perverbale bus son, Hancock, that lady that appeared on GMT again and was shown up by Piers again and the two science men. Why don't they share with the public their scieience. Imo it is because they are all trying to control their departments and not up to the job. The army has just told PHE - get lost you are not going to show us up regrd PPE we will help but we will lead. Sack the top and then pray we do not hear the same excuses, EG ramping up, we have 100k tests, PPE is arriving tonight, we lead vaccines, we are working hard and so on - honestly I am in tears want to hug someone. You are lovely and caring. Sat in the sun did me good. I'm not too high up off the ground but high enough not to attract the attention of stupid people walking by on the pavement and making crass comments. I will have my tea and go out but it is still sunny may do a gentle walk and then do tea. I love wine but it i running out but I think it's for the better. Getting online delivery is hard. Posting on forums is nice but then again on one other site, most of them are younger or lie about being younger and I feel left out, vulnerable. xx
