is it becuse it's the only place that asks questions that the majority of the public want, eg, the usa set not to renew lock-down tonight and will leave it to local mayors/etc.
then there is the testing target 3 months down the road on 50,000 were tested the other day, the promise of 250000 by bj gone. then we still have problems with ppe and the virus being downgraded, etc, etc. i don't like piers morgan but he does ask the questions and insist on answers where others do not.

They cant do right for doing wrong though really can they.
They face the press live every single day, and now they are answering questions from the public too in the live broadcasts from Downing St, so it's wrong to say they are not facing questions people want to throw at them.

Piers Morgan has been a dick throughout this crisis even more than usual. He had to apologise to OFCOM the other day. There was a particular female minister who he became quite aggressive with, twice. Many of his own followers on twitter chastised him over that. So bottom line that's now why no minister goes on that program anymore.

Dammed if they do, dammed if they don't.
On the briefings if they didn't do those everyday then people and media would moan like crazy and say they don't want to be scrutinised.
I actually think doing them everyday contributed to the mixed messages now and again regarding lockdown and things that some people have been known to moan about. Because answering the same old questions day in day out leads to the experts and ministers sometimes giving us slightly different replies. In their efforts trying to avoid repeating exactly the same replies all of the time! Some people's brains then start to get confused and go onto to make up their own versions of events.
But like I said if they didn't do briefings everyday. Much moaning about that would happen.

IIRC he was huge admirer of the Orange One until very recently.
It seems the bromance is over now though.

He had the horn for Meghan but he got his boxers in a knot when she married Harry and has savaged her as well.

"Apologise" for what? It was NOT for his interview style BUT having his fans overwhelm OFCOM. You want to disagree with that, if so post the link to where OFCOM found him guilty but you can't as it's not true. You'd rather have minsters making BS promises and whenever they are in trouble they come up with something that will please most people to distract
from their current woes. Tell me, son, why did the government downgrade this murderous virus?

So you'd rather this government got away with "working hard," and it is about time too but where are the results. Almost every day we have UK firms on telly telling us about them having PPE and, or materials of the grades required but get no response from this lot so they sell to the USA and EU. So you and your mate would rather see no robust questioning. I'd laugh at you if this was not a serious subject.

Boris is back.
Does anyone else find Robert Preston to be incredibly patronising and pompous....and does he have to ask the same questions every time he gets air time?

He apologised to OFCOM. That's how the article I read at the time put it at least. Like I say I don't watch that program. But feeling the need to apologise to your followers is even worse really, pissing off those who probably like you is obviously not a good situation to find yourself in.
Downgrade? Link? I think I know what you're talking about but I'll let you post the link. Then I'll explain it to you after.

So, you did not watch the program as you put it but made an inaccurate statement anyway, just about sums you up
I won't waste my time posting a link to the downgraded virus as you by your own admission are aware of it and therefore not able to add anything useful.

I'm surprised you dont like Mr. Preston :lesson:
As for the P.M his life was saved by the wonderful Dr's and Nurses and now the Tories can't dismantle the NHS. All those years wasted of insidiously but fastidiously trying to destroy it. It's a blessing the annual underfunding (which meant there wasn't enough ventilators ) didn't result in loss of life.
This Government didn't care if a small number of elderly died as the leaked email revealed. Ouch
I think Boris's experience will mean a more humane government , he is the best of a bad lot and said there were no plans for austerity. Hopefully he has learnt some lessons in humility and gratitude so nice to see him back. That other cyborg co wrote a book with Pitti Patel on how the UK must scrap the NHS. He must clap every Thursday thru gritted teeth! oh well, them's the breaks Dominic!
