A woman faced a backlash after she said she didn't tip her Domino's delivery driver because she had already paid for delivery.
The woman bought food for six people that came to eight-five pounds and some folk said if she could afford that, she could have slipped the driver a few pounds as well.
Do you tip for food deliverys or do agree with the woman that you've already paid for delivery.
Many deliverers, waiters, waitresses etc, rely on tips to boost their wages. There's nothing to say you should tip, it's up to the person.

I usually tip a couple of pounds, a bit more in the hairdressers.

I usually tip, having worked in hospitality for years, I know how much tips are appreciated.
If the service is really bad, or the person serving is rude, obviously they don't get a tip.

If you come here and don't tip, you will get called "Canadians".
Which also has a racist meaning based on the tipping habits of a certain race.
20% is the basic rule here for all food and drink service that entails someone taking an order at you're table or over the phone, and bringing it to you.

We, (Brits) generally don't tip that much...nearer 10% for good service, which if a meal with drinks is around £100, I think a £10 tip is good.
Many Brits dont tip at all....they have a thing about it, mean imo.

Neither do many Canadians or black Americans. Hence the term being used in the service industry.
I have a guy I ride with that tips little to nothing, and he's a gringo.
I have to throw in a little extra to make up for it. I have no idea why he's like that. He worked most of his adult life overseas, but he was raised in Texas. He should know better. He's just cheap.

I always tip and by the smile on their face and the big thankyou they say, it's obvious they don't get it everywhere they go.

Lots of restaurants add 20 percent gratuity on the bills anyway. That is a fee that isn't legal and you can demand they take it off. I'll tip if the service is good. If not, I won't and will never grace the place again.

If service charge is added, we don't tip. We have always paid it except for one time. We were in town with friends ages ago, went to a fancy restaurant (now gone) and when the bill came service charge had been added. The service had been really bad throughout, so the bill was paid omitting the charge.
The waiter was actually blocking the door as we left, demanding the charge be paid...he was told in no uncertain terms to move, and quick.
We also don't add the tip onto the bill, I know in some cases the staff dont get it. OH tends to pay the bill then leave the server the tip in cash.
That is the question...
