I had never heard of this but can totally understand how it can happen.
Unfortunately I can't post links to the articles for some reason but it's very disturbing as you cab die within a month.

Psychogenic death refers to death triggered by psychic stimuli. The individual finds himself in a situation where external forces have lead to a restriction of his world and, in addition, is subjectively sensing of the inalterability of his situation.
In other words if a living thing becomes of absolutely devoid of hope, they die.
I watched a documentary some time ago where they did experiments on animals, including monkeys, where they put them in an inverted pyramid cone of metal so they couldn't get out. When they finally knew they couldn't escape, they all died.
We all need hope and motivation in our lives.

Our minds are very powerful, and I do believe there are parts of our bodies, called the etheric, that most of us are not even aware of, but that holds lots of information and is the real place that our memories are stored. It's also the seat of psychic ability and an energic battery that helps us to function and stay healthy. When this is damaged, our health, both physical and mental, becomes compromised.
If you've never heard of the etheric body, it's the energy body double that links the physical to the astral planes and universal energy. Reasons it gets damaged are:
Intentional psychic attacks (curses, black magic, nasty intentions and actions etc)
Attacks by entities
An attached entity not only steals a person's energy but it introduces its own negative markers into the person's energy field. Such markers will have a strong psychological effect on the person, typically through the use of such emotions as fear, depression.
Have you ever met someone who utterly drained your emotional energies? I bet most of us have. The person you can't wait to get away from but you don't know why? They leave you feeling down and exhausted. These people are energy vampires, they do literally suck your energy into themselves. They don't know they're doing it but they are. And they're not necessarily those needy fuckers you meet who always want to talk about themselves and their problems. These are people who tap into your energy field or aura.
And there are places that also do that to us. The Trafford Centre in Manchester is one of the worst places for this. I can't be in there for longer than 30 minutes before I can't wait to get out.

Could be why, and it often happens, when one long time spouse dies, the other one quickly follows suit, even if they were previously healthy.
I have known of three husbands who died within weeks of their wives dying, maybe of a broken heart, or just losing the will to live on without her.
I had never heard of this but can totally understand how it can happen.
