Meanwhile several homeless people shivered in a shop doorway a few feet away.
Forget the hype - the Tories (and Labour) will do fuck all about it - we let anyone in, anyone at all.
Who knows just how many criminals are crossing the channel?
Then you get stories like this.
Is this fair on people born here who are homeless or have to live in savage hostels full of violent criminals?

The illegal immigrants coming here seeking asylum, the majority being fit and male, a good proportion coming from safe countries for economic reasons, should be turned round and sent back from whence they came.
Putting hundreds in hotels, in semi rural areas, where they can't work or earn money...even if they wanted to, is a bad idea.
We have no idea if they have criminal records, or what their intentions are. These illegals are getting the care, including all NHS services, that people who have paid into the system for decades are deprived of.

We will accept some refugees, but we get to decide if they are refugees.
Our PM is in France today trying to get some agreement with France's PM in regard to the overwhelming number of illegals who come over here in small boats from France. We already pay millions for their border control to stop them. According to the Times newspaper, Mr Sunak is set to agree to demands for payments that could total hundreds of millions of pounds.
A French representative has said the French people object to their taxes being spent on manning the French border to stop the people leaving. They seem happy to pass the problem on to us, where we are paying untold amounts housing and caring for them.
Afghans could be problematic, but other countries shouldn't be.
