They knew weeks ago that one of their presenters had been involved sexually with a 17 year old boy, paying him large sums of money to provide sexually explicit photos.
Yet the presenter remained on air, despite complaints from the teenager's family. Last week the presenter was calling up the family, begging them not to divulge his sordid past.
Yet the BBC didn't act till all this became public.
They should ban the licence. I barely watch the BBC now. It's a total waste of money.
Same here...I really begrudge paying a corrupt organisation money.
In fact, I held off this year for as long as possible. When the threatening letters arrived, I gave in....maybe next year.

You would think the man in question would have made a statement by now.
He will be named before long....far better for him to volunteer some info, if only to save the men who are under suspicion any further embarrassment.

The 20 yr old went to the police with a lawyer to deny it. So the BBC presenter will get away with it.
I reckon the 20 yr old was bought off.

It's a bit weird to me that this stuff is concentrated in one news company like this.
Don't see it in The Guardian or The Daily Mail do you??

Here is the latest news about the case....from the BBC.
If you're a young man, not out if the closet, or worse yet, not even gay but sending pics for cash to a weirdo, you probably will deny it as much as possible.
Its going to turn his life upside down if he is named and shamed.

According to the mother, the lad spent all the money on crack cocaine and is ruining his life.
If this is the case, I can understand her going public.
It could also be the case that the lad did what he did to fund his habit.
His name may be protected....though given the interest in the case, I doubt it will be tbh.

So he could be straight, but so desperate for the cash and drugs that he basically prostituted himself out to a creepy fucker?
If that's the case he's going to deny, deny, deny.

More and more people are seeing the BBC as a cesspit of filth and debauchery funded by the public to the tune of billions!
Why has the BBC held back information from the public for over two months and who in their right minds would support the BBC holding an inquiry into itself with it's track record.
The backlash can only grow.

This guys timing couldn't be worse could it.
He and his family must be under suspicion on a scale that would bury many.

How many twenty year olds can afford a lawyer who is big enough to challenge the BBC?
A twenty year old crack head at that.
If it's all nonsense then there will be no picture of the presenter in his underwear.

True Jack, he wouldn't have the money for a lawyer, but maybe he was paid off by the presenter, and got the money that way.
So once again, the BBC protect it's own.

Seems nothing has changed since the Saville days.

Eamon Holme, who seems to have an opinion on everything lately, has said the BBC high earning star presenter, should be named.
At least that would prevent other peoples names falsely being dragged into this mess.
Latest person in the firing line....HUW EDWARDS. Nothing has been confirmed.....yet.
I hope this guy is enjoying his time off with family....
