"Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer has axed the dress code that requires legislators to wear professional attire on the Senate floor months after Sen. John Fetterman was slammed for wearing a hoodie.
Schumer (D-NY) quietly directed the Senate’s sergeant at arms to stop enforcing the dress code that mandates male senators wear a jacket and tie and female senators a dress or other businesswear on the floor, Axios reported Sunday.
The change in policy comes after Fetterman (D-Pa.) was bashed by conservatives for wearing a hoodie, gym shorts and sneakers to the chamber. Many called his casual fashion choices disrespectful."
So, while senators can dress like this, their aids must still wear a suite and tie.
Imagine him meeting a foreign dignitary like that..
I don't think powdered wigs are necessary, but there is a time for proper dress while supposedly serving your constituents.
Especially if lowly aids are not afforded the same rights.

What a dick head.
There are dress codes for a reason and with the rest of the world looking on they'll see a serious decline in American values.

He looks like a slob who needs a wash. So why would you trust him in other ways.

He's new to the Senate. He also had a stroke before the election and couldn't talk for a few months..
He's still got cognitive issues, but that's par for the course for a US Senator anymore. 😉

I wasn't kidding when I said he had a stroke BEFORE the election. He's not much better. Listen to him speak. I don't know if it's appropriate to mock him, because he does have real problems. I do think he should step down. But that goes for Biden too.
It's only a minute. It's painful to watch.
