A man has been sentenced for cyber flashing in England for the first time.
Nicholas Hawkes, 39, from Basildon in Essex, was jailed for 66 weeks at Southend Crown Court today after he sent unsolicited photos of his erect penis to a 15-year-old girl and a woman on 9 February.
The older victim took screenshots of the offending image on WhatsApp and reported Hawkes to the police the same day.
Cyber flashing became a criminal offence in England with the passage of the Online Safety Act on 31 January. It has been a crime in Scotland since 2010.
About time too. Digger and myself have had to wade through countless pics of male appendages, ....enough is enough.

I don't believe it? This seemed to be such a happy and somewhat closed community (most people "know" each other from "back in the day")

I can't believe that this sort of thing only became illegal in England with the passing of the Online Safety Act earlier this year?
The only thing I can imagine is that it gives authorities powers to gather online information about the culprit - but I would have thought this would have been covered by the normal indecency & harassment legislation.
I had never heard of the so-called "dick pix" which is apparently something that developed among the "screen generation" - those that grew up with a camera phone - and is apparently part of the dating game among them.
The guy in question however is not part of the screen generation.

Tue, we are a happy and somewhat closed community, mainly because we have always kept forum bullies out...as you well know.

I suspect that went on a lot on these forums over the years. NS got most of the blokes hot under the collar and one sucker fucked up his marriage because of her. I don't get why men think it's sexy to send women photos of their todger. Do they think women swoon at the sight of what really looks like the last sad chicken on the shelf at Farm Foods?

Before seeing the above story about an hour or two ago - I saw the following story late yesterday:
Getting their tits and bits out was fairly common so I hear on dogs for some of the errr ladies there.
I've never understood why blokes want to send pix of their dix either. Do these people feel anything like remorse regret etc later?
I'd be worried about it coming back round again to haunt me!

I thought it was well known that men are visual creatures (what they see is important to them when it comes to women) while for women it is more how they feel (being relaxed around a man, feeling protected, the visuals tend to be down on the list). I would have thought a man sending his todger to a women reveals some level of stupidity plus there is the harassment side of it.

Apparently, his was erect, as I suspect most of them are.
One was a 16 year girl, the other woman was in her 60's...nothing like having a varied audience.

Only insignificant men who want to feel power over women do this. I doubt many men send DP's to other men, unless of course they are gay.

I wonder if any adult male has reported women sending them naked pics of themselves?

Dozens jailed in France's largest cyberbully case
Twenty-eight people jailed for up to 18 months for the harassment of an influencer in France's largest cyberbullying case to date.
Judges found the accused guilty of harassing Magali Berdah, spurred on by a campaign by the French rapper Booba against "thieving influencers".
... Booba is facing a separate trail and denies aggravated harassment.
Ms Berdah has built a prominent career in France as a lifestyle and fashion expert ...
Lawyers said posts from Booba, real name Élie Yaffa, encouraged a "mob" of people online to send hateful and insulting messages to her ...
The court said each of the defendants "made a conscious choice to join in" ...
The accused, aged between 20 and 49, received jail terms ranging from four to 18 months, some of which were suspended.
